Chapter 1

FIRST PERSON POV

I woke up seeing the ceiling filled with plastic stars that always lights up at night with no light, these were bought by mom when she was still alive, one of my happy memories with her. When she is still here, I have no worries about what I should do if I'm going to be alone, because I always thought that mom would stay with me forever, guess that's just what happens to us people who live in this world. That's why we have to live our life to the fullest with our loved ones or else we'll leave this world with guilt.

After thinking for a while, I decided to get out of bed and started planning what to do since today is Saturday. I planned to clean up and go again to my favorite place and so maybe I'd be able to forget this lingering feeling of longing for someone.

Before I got to start cleaning, I did my morning routine by exercising using my dumbbell after that I washed my face, brushed my teeth and took a shower.

A few minutes after taking a shower, I got to the kitchen and fried an egg and made a pancake with butter and honey on top of it.

This feeling of longing for someone is something that can't be taken away by simply saying 'go away'. I still remember the day I got the news that mom died because of an accident crushed my world, everything started to crumble, all my dreams just for the two of us were taken all alone just by a word or is it. It was taken because of the bus, it took the life of someone I treasured so.

I really want to sue the bus driver for it, he didn't even see that someone was standing in front of the bus with the light that could reach a few meters away. But the reason was still unknown why mom went in the middle of the road. It hurts even more that people started talking maybe mom got crazy because of the tiring job she has and decided to go in front of the bus but during the investigation a picture of us was something that she was holding and that broke me even more.

All of those dreams and wishes that were made by us together were now just a painful memory, a happy yet painful memory. "Why?"

I realized I was already crying. It's been 3 years since that incident happened and right now, I'm still not moving on. I wiped my tears away and decided to start cleaning. First, I washed the plates that were used. Second, I started to clean up the floor with a vacuum and a duster to clean off the spider webs and dusted things. Third, I decided to re-arrange and decorate a little. Lastly, I washed up the used clothes.

After cleaning things up, I heard my phone ringing I went near it on top of the table and saw the caller's name, I quickly answered it and listened to the other line.

"Hey Bree, how are you? Are you doing something or what?"

Someone on the other line said "Oh, I'm good, I just got done cleaning up the house, why?" I replied "Good, well do you have any plans later? So that maybe I can take you out or something?" He said "Uhm,.Sure, I actually planned to go to the tree later to meet you but going on a date is fun too" I replied "Oh really? That's where I actually wanted to bring you but guess it's not needed just so It could be a surprise" He said as I heard him chuckle on the other side that made me giggle "Well almost, so,. What time?" I asked "I wanted us to be able to see the sunset so around 7?" He replied "Ok, I'll see you then" "Yeah, I'll see you then and with that take care of yourself ok? Bye Love You" "Yes Mr. I Love You too" "mmm" He replied as I heard him giving me a kiss on the other side that gave me butterflies even though he always does this every time we call or meet.

Aiden Anderson, he was the guy who I met under the tree A few years ago, the first guy who gave my butterflies in my stomach. At that time I really thought he's in his early 20's, but then he told me he's just 19 years old, but I'm not actually fully wrong since he's turning 20.

Ever since that day, every time I go over to my favorite place, I always find him ahead of time, and eventually it also became his favorite place. After he said that to me, It made me fall even more at him because I can have him as my companion in that peaceful place. We talk about each other's problems and secrets, and we build bonds with each other, I also got to know that he was born with a golden spoon. After mom died, he's the one who's there for me, he helped through those sad and lonely times.

One year after that, I confessed to him and heard his reply that he likes me too and guess what, you already know what happened. We had a relationship that's been going on for almost 2 years, and it made me happy because he's my first boyfriend and I hope he will be the first and last man that I have with in my entire life.

I went to my room and hurriedly looked for something to wear, something that would make me representable in front of him or else I'll be really embarrassed. He already told me a few times that I shouldn't be very conscious in myself because I look beautiful just the way I am, but I just can't think of not be conscious of myself and think at what the other people would think of me as someone not worth it to be by his side, and I want to prove them that I am worth it be by his side.

TIME SKIP...

It is now almost 7, and I'm just finishing up my makeup while thinking about the things that I might have forgotten to do. A few minutes later I heard a car stopped outside the house, and so I finished my makeup and went outside my room. I heard a soft knock as I was walking to the door. I opened it and saw the first man and may be the last man who I fell in love with.

He complimented my dress and greeted me with beautiful words, and later we decided to go.

We arrived at the back of the school and started to walk down the grassy road, it's because he just wants us to have more time to talk while walking. A few minutes later we arrived at the place, and we met with a shining sun that was setting down. With our hands tied together, we went over the old tree and sat under it looking at the sunset. We talked about anything, asking things about our lives and making dreams and wishes for our future.

But the question is, was there really a future for us?
