Chapter 2

FIRST PERSON POV

It has already been 3 years and me and Aiden are still going strong. Tomorrow is my 20th birthday, and I am really looking forward for his surprise.

Every year he always has surprises for me that I can never get enough of, just like last year he surprised me with a new cellphone just because I broke my phone and a really yummy homemade cake with a bouquet of my favorite flowers. 2 years ago he gave me a really expensive promise ring and his homemade cake with a bouquet of my favorite flowers again , and it has been going on since our relationship started.

I have already told him to not buy me presents, or maybe he can but not too expensive, but instead he gave me something that most businessmen can buy, and I'm just a student like I don't even have a permanent work yet, yes I have a part-time job but all my savings from that could not even be enough just to buy expensive things like necklaces, rings, or bouquet.

I really want to give him presents too on his birthday and yet the prize of it cannot even be half of the prize of the things he gives me. Sometimes, because of this, I thought maybe I don't deserve him, but during those times he's always there for me to make me feel that I am just enough for him.

I was currently choosing my outfit for today's date as I heard my phone rang on top of my bed. I picked it up as I saw my best friend's name on it, Sarah, she had been my best friend who I met during the 3 years that I have been busy with my part-time job as a waitress in a small restaurant.

"Hey Cc bae!" She greeted me loudly on the phone as I covered my ears from it "Hey" I replied "Oh my gosh, Happy Birthday, my Cc!!" She greeted me again with an even louder voice but with it I didn't even realize that I've been smiling "Thank you, so what are you doing right now? Because based on what I'm hearing you are outside right now, right?" I smiled thanking her as curiosity came to me "Oh, so right now I know you've been picking what to wear on you two Aidens date right, but I think you'll have to hear this" She said as her tone of speaking changed "Um, yes, yes I was picking clothes just now before you called, do what this thing you've been meaning to talk to, because I mean you know that there will be just a few hours left right for me and Aidens date?" "Um, so girl, I think you should know this just for an info, but, do you know who this girl is right now with Aiden? Like, I mean I know you might think that maybe it's someone he knew, but the way she's clinging unto him is just, you know" "What do you mean, what are you talking about?" I asked as I heard her suddenly gasped "Oh my gosh! Bae you cancel that fucking date right now, we have to talk this instant!" Fuck this! I know I may be meddling in you two's relationship but he, ugh let's meet up right, no! I'm going there, right now!" I heard her angrily as I got confused for what was happening to her "H-hey, Sarah, what's wrong, what do you mean cancel our date, hey, explain to me" as I heard the other line went down.

I just don't know what's happening, I got so nervous that I just don't know what to do, whether I should cancel our date or what.

I woke up to my senses as I heard my doorbell rang, it must be her.

I opened the door and as expected it's Sarah.

"Hey, can you tell me what's wrong, I've been thinking deeply about what happened just now" I told her worriedly. She didn't reply and just showed me a picture with her phone "What do you think this is?" She asked.

When she showed me the picture, I couldn't believe my eyes. Everything just went down, A flood of memories flashed down as I saw Aiden kissing another girl. I remembered the words he used to say to me whenever I'm feeling conscious with how I am with him, 'You'll always be the one for me, I will never trade you with anyone else but you'. A sentence that made me survive through everything the both of us went through and yet it all fell down with just a picture.

The future he promised me was never there in the beginning, because everything he said to me was just a lie, I trusted him. Everything I gave it to him, my body, heart, and soul, yet it was all a lie.

A little hope emerged in me, I wanted to hear it through him, I wanted to meet him, I wanted him to tell me that this is just a lie. I don't want to give him up with just a mere photo. "I have to go, I need to hear everything through him" "Cc"

I directly went to the door and just as I opened it I saw him walking towards the door, his expression changed when he saw my face covered with tears, I forgot to wipe it. His pace got fast and went towards me "Babe, what happened. Why are you crying? Did something bad happen?" He asked anxiously, I looked him in the eye and many questions emerged in my brain "Hey, do you really love my Aiden?" "Of course, I love you with all my heart" He replied with the same expression, anxious, "But then why? Why did you do it? Why! Why did you kiss another girl?! Did I do something wrong? Did I do something that made you do it?!" I shouted, I just can't take it anymore "Wait, baby, slow down what do you mean? Baby, hey, hey look, your anxiety is starting up again, easy ok, calm down first, we'll talk inside"

"Actually, I couldn't think of the time when to say this, but that girl, I don't love that girl nor do I love her, baby listen, me and mom once talked, and she told me that she arranged a date with my childhood friend, but baby you should always remember that you're the only one I love you know that, and that kiss, I'm not the one who initiated it, it was her. I've already told her that I love somebody else and that's why she kissed me. Baby please trust, I don't want to lose you like this, and I never want to lose you ever" "Oh really, then what is this?" I threw a brown folder on the coffee table "What is this?" "This was sent by someone mysterious a few years ago, these are the pictures that made me insecure of how I am in a relationship with you. This made me think if am I really worthy of being by your side?! These are the pictures of you being with girls every time we're fighting. These, I have kept these for years because I don't want to lose you, I don't want to lose you, because you were my strength, the only strength that kept me going! Why?! I loved you so much Aiden, I trusted that you won't do it again, I did my best to fix us because I'm afraid of losing you Aiden!" "Baby, no-no, please no, please give me another chance, baby I'm sorry, I'm really sorry, baby I'll fix this baby" He said begging foe me to not let go, but I'm tired already, I fixed us but all of that came down with a picture of him kissing somebody else "Go, I don't want to see you ever again" "No, baby no, please, don't, Please-Kaycee please, baby I love you, please not this way" "Go! Go away! Get out of my sight!"

Sarah showed up from outside and helped me go to my room as Aiden was still begging with his knees on the floor. I guess this is the end of our love story, A beautiful yet sad memory that will always be just kept as something that was once treasured but will be forgotten eventually.
