Prologue

THIRD PERSON POV

"Doc, what are we supposed to do?" A woman worriedly said "For her to be able to live longer, a heart donor is needed to replace her heart that has a hole and the surgery is needed to be done this week or else nothing can be done to save your daughter" the doctor replied with a calm expression looking at the woman that has a worried expression who just nodded as a reply to the doctor.

A few days passed, and it is time for the surgery, a child looking so pale is lying in the middle full of doctors and nurses operating just for her to be able to live.

A day that is meant to be beautiful with her age growing to a new level was being spent in a challenge that's painful to take as a child but hope being seen as the thing to keep on going and live.

A few hours passed and the mother of the child was still sitting waiting for the operation to be done and hear good news with her daughter being saved.

Another hour passed and the doctor came out walking to the mother of the child, "Doc, how'd it go?" said the mother begging for good news "Congratulations! The operation was successfully done with your daughter who can now live longer, after this we're going to move her to a more comfortable room and with the medicine needed for her to take will be taken care by our nurses" the doctor replied with a smile looking at the mother of the child fell to the ground crying while giving thanks to the doctor.

After all of that challenge faced by both the mother and the daughter another was waiting in the future.

TIME SKIP...

The mother of the child was now currently looking for a job to be able to pay the expenses used in the hospital but eventually failed, with strong dedication she didn't give up looking at, instead she found it, a friend of her suggested a job as a waitress in a restaurant.

Through all that hardship just to pay all the expenses, a few days passed, and the child is now able to get out of the hospital, everything may not have been easy but with hope it was solved yet another heart will be broken with a loved one being taken.

Both of them finally have a comfortable life, with a house being rented fit just for them, foods to feed, enough clothes for in and out, and good health to be able to survive in this beautiful yet dangerous world.

One day inside the school with a teacher teaching the students, one child looks distracted by the thing she is doing, she is drawing a picture of her and her mother celebrating her 16th birthday forgetting the memories that happened a few years ago, a very painful challenge was taken by her innocent 5 years old self.

This kid has a knack for drawing things that started 8 years ago and right now it's even more improving.

She looks so concentrated that it may seem like she couldn't care for whatever is happening in her surroundings. "low...illow... Ms. Kaycee Bree Willow!" a voice called that made her consciousness open "Ahh, yes?" she replied while hurriedly stand up, "It seems you were distracted by something Ms. Willow" her teacher said with the other students laughing "Ah, yes I-I'm so sorry" she said consciously being embarrassed by the way her classmates laughed at her "So, Ms. Willow can you read the page ....."

After the class, Kaycee went to the place that has been her favorite, a place where no other noise was heard but the birds singing in the sky, the winds breeze swirling and hitting solid objects, grasses that looks so comfortable to sleep on, and a one and only tree that can be seen by far away with its height so tall that's been living by maybe a thousand years old. This place was in the backyard of the school, but it takes a long walk to get there for the place where she lives is not a city that is filled with buildings.

Kaycee stared at the place for a minute and walked to the tree, she decided to sit down on its roots facing the view of the city that can be seen from far away. She started drawing the beautiful view while waiting for the sun to go down. A few hours later, the sun seemed to be going down but suddenly a stick of the tree being broken was heard, and so she decided to look behind her and a handsomely beautiful man was standing there that may seem like in his early 20's.

"A beautiful view, eh" he said while looking at the view, even though she sees that he's looking at the view, she knows he is talking to her. "Yeah" she replied nonchalantly while looking back at the view, "That looks beautiful, wow you're a good artist" she looks taken aback by the way he suddenly sneaks at her drawing and tells her that "Th-thank you" she said embarrassingly.

She looks again at the guy and thinks about the way how he made her feel that, but then as she looked at him deeply, she was mesmerized at his beauty, it looks so natural but with his blue eyes and nose and lips that perfectly matches his face. While looking, she felt butterflies in her stomach that she can't describe that feeling.

He looked back at her and the two of them met each other's gaze, but then she looked away feeling embarrassed, that is when she got her consciousness back and realized that it's almost nighttime, and so she ran away forgetting to say goodbye to the man.

As she got home she hurriedly ran in her room and jumped on her bed, she remembered what happened, and again she felt butterflies in her stomach not knowing that her face was already covered with red that almost looks like a tomato, this feeling was new to her because all she ever felt through her life was always being conscious of whatever the people think of her, and it's because she was bullied in her past school long ago.

A knock was heard through her bedrooms door and as she opened it a beautiful surprise was made by her mother, she saw her mother holding her favorite cake, a chocolate flavored cake and written 'Happy Birthday My Most Beloved Daughter In The World' on top of it with 16 colorful candles while greeting 'Happy Birthday'. After that, her mother invited her to their kitchen where you can find their dining table and chairs with food on top of the table. Even though these are just the thing that her mother prepared for her, for her this is enough, she understands that her mother was the only one working for them to survive and so it is hard with her daughter that a few more years will be having her debut and going to be in college.

TIME SKIP...

While Kaycee was studying, her mother was making money for the both of them to survive, whether it may be dangerous or not, she is not minding it because all she wants was to give her daughter a more happy and worth it life because of what happened during her daughters' surgery, she wants her daughter to not waste her life that was given to her on useless things.

She is now walking to the bus stop going to their home happily because she'll finally be able to see her daughter again through this tiring day because her was her strength through her life, she is her motivation to keep living in this world, but maybe the world just wants to end her tiring life.

While walking, she is now under the bus stop waiting and as she waits, she decided to take out her picture with her and her daughter smiling happily, it was taken after her daughter got out of the hospital, but a sudden wind blew it away onto the road. She saw no vehicle driving, and so she decided to take it back, but then as she took it a light blinds her eyes that took her life away.

She saw a flash of their memories together saying her last words "I'm sorry".
