Chapter 1: The Seal of Empathy

Panel 1:

Aethra — a city suspended in the sky, shining with floating crystals and glowing rivers of magic. But in the lower tiers, where the light doesn’t reach, children huddle in broken houses, and the poor trade scraps for bread.

Narration:

“In a world where magic is sold to the highest bidder, kindness has become a forgotten spell.”

Panel 2:

Tannie walks through the crowded streets in a simple cloak. Her eyes are bright, but her expression is quiet. She pauses to give her bread to a child with torn clothes.

Child (softly):

“T-thank you...”

Narration:

“She was not born with strength or money. But she carried a heart powerful enough to shake the world.”

Panel 3:

That night, Tannie wakes up with a burning sensation on her palm. A glowing sigil appears — ancient runes forming a spiral.

Tannie (confused):

“What is this...?”

Panel 4:

Flash of vision — she sees memories not her own: a crying woman, a boy stealing food out of desperation, an old man shivering alone. She clutches her chest in pain.

Narration:

“She had awakened the Seal of Empathy — a legendary gift that lets its bearer feel the soul of others.”

Panel 5:

A black crow lands on her window. It speaks.

Crow:

“You are the chosen one. My name is Alex. The world needs you.”

Panel 6:

Alex explains the corruption of Aethra: The elite “Kuro Kane” exploit magic for power, while the poor suffer. He tells her that her empathy can change hearts — but every time she uses it, it drains her life force.

Tannie (firmly):

“Even if it hurts... if I can help even one person, I’ll do it.”

Final Panel of Chapter:

Tannie sets off toward the royal city, cloak blowing in the wind, the glowing mark on her palm shining like a tiny sun.

Narration:

“She does not carry a sword. She carries hope.”

Chapter 2: Frozen Flame

Panel 1:

Tannie walks through the snow-covered village of Ruketsu, a once-beautiful place now cursed with eternal winter. Children huddle in silence, the air filled with hopelessness.

Alex,(the crow):

“This village wasn't always like this. It was frozen... by him.”

Panel 2:

A tall figure appears on a cliff — Kaien, the Ice Mage of the North. His eyes are like glass — cold, distant, yet hiding deep sorrow. Ice flowers bloom where he walks.

Villager (whispers):

“Stay away... he doesn’t feel. He destroyed everything.”

Panel 3:

Tannie approaches Kaien calmly. He warns her to leave.

Kaien:

“I have no warmth left to give. Only frost. Turn back.”

Tannie:

“Then I’ll bring the warmth.”

Panel 4:

Kaien attacks. Ice shards fly, but Tannie doesn't run — she touches the ground, feeling a pulse of his pain through her seal.

Vision sequence:

Kaien as a child, watching his parents die in a fire caused by magic gone wrong. He froze the village accidentally trying to stop it.

Panel 5:

Tannie collapses from the pain she absorbs. Kaien hesitates.

Kaien (shaken):

“You... saw it? Why do you suffer for me?”

Tannie (weakly smiling):

“Because you couldn’t cry. So I cried for you.”

Panel 6:

The frost begins to melt. A single tear rolls down Kaien’s cheek — the first in years. His magic calms. The sun peeks through the clouds over Ruketsu.

Final Panel of Chapter:

Kaien kneels beside Tannie.

Kaien:

“I couldn’t be saved. But maybe... I can help save others with you.”

Narration:

“One heart at a time, her light spreads.”
