Hey Author, I’m a little confused about Sylvester’s character and the way dragons are portrayed in the story.
At first, his memory was wiped. Then he was given a drug that made him lose control, and now several mages seem capable of killing him. Because of all this, he comes across as much weaker than I expected.
Since dragons are described as powerful superior beings, I thought they would be shown more clearly as stronger than others. For example, when the guild master poisoned them, I expected dragons to have some immunity or resistance.
So far, I haven’t really seen many moments that make dragons feel truly above other races, aside from not bowing to the emperor and empress.
Another thing that confused me was the memory manipulation involving Sylvester. It wasn’t that his feelings were transferred, but that his memories of Seraphina were changed and replaced with Lavender, making him believe Lavender was the one he loved. My issue is that for someone who is supposed to be a powerful and superior dragon, it feels strange that he didn’t notice anything was wrong or resist that kind of manipulation. It made him seem weaker and less impressive than expected.
I’m not trying to insult your story — I’m just sharing my honest thoughts because I’m invested in it and want to understand your direction better. Could you explain your idea behind this?
