After the wedding done, both of the King and Queen didn't stay late in the banquet. The engagement between Devi and her fiancé had broken two days after she's talk to Lady Irene.

Elle had tried to contact her. But she didn't want to meet her. Today was an exception. She has to endure even if she didn't like it. It's her majesty wedding banquet.

From a far she can see Elle. Elle rushing towards Devi, she cling onto her and said.

"Devi.. I didn't want you to go. Please..." She begged.

Elle toned, worried. Devi might fall for her act if she didn't she the glints of jealousy in her eyes. She's really blinded by their terms of friendship. Devi frown.

"I can't neglect the decree." Devi said curtly.

"You can! I'll be your substitute"

Devi smile twitch. As Lady Irene said to her. Elle greediness won't stop until she sits on top. Devi clearly saw the ambitious in Elle's eyes.

"Are trying to kill me and my family?"

"No.. that's not what I mean.. Devi, you know that I love you so much. How can I do-"

"It's none of your business, Elle"

"But I'm your friend!!"

"Friend doesn't mean you can decide my life like your own. And this is a matter of someone's life. Please refrain to intervene of my business. There're boundaries between our relationship."

"Devi!! How can you say that to me!! You're so rude!!"

Rude? Devi really wants to laugh right now. How can she act shamelessly like this?

"Are you also going to break off your engagement?! Why you're so heartless!!"

Her voice attracts unwanted attention through all the guests in this banquet. She acted pitifully like Devi bullied her. Wow, really impressive. Should Devi clap her hands?

"Heartless? Did I have a choice to not do it? The emperor clearly stated that the engagement had to be withdrawn."

"That's why I say to you. I can help you Devi"

"Don't act unreasonable! You want to put my family life in danger. Should I reminder you of your status? Young baroness, I won't say it again. This is none of your business. So stay away from it unless you want to die," Devi reminds her and want to leave when she hears a thud behind her.

"You.." Elle's eyes look at Devi as she betrayed her.

"Devi! How can you push Elle like this." What a coincidence. Devi realised that Elle pretends to slips on purpose.

"I did nothing" Devi says nonchalantly.

"Why you're so cruel to her!" Raymond cried angrily

Hah.. now I know what Lady Irene feel that day. Seriously, this woman doesn't have any feeling of shame. Devi stays silent.

"She's worried about you. And you treat her like this." Devi ignored him. She wants to leave. But their act intrigued her.

"This, Sir Raymond. Devi didn't push me. It jus-"

"Stop it. She doesn't deserve your kindness, Elle." The two act like a lover. Devi feel disgust. Kindness? Fu*k.

"Wow. I didn't know they also brought soap opera in this kind of banquet." Aditya irritated at how two of them quarrel in front of public.

"Don't mind them, cousin. You just waste your time" Risa fan her face lightly while mocking Elle and Raymond. She turn to Devi and held her hands.

"Devi, I've been searching for you. I didn't know you meet these unsightly people. Don't contact people who committed improper act. Let's just enjoy some refreshments"

"You're lucky, dear cousin. You have a beautiful friend"

"Of course. She's a stunning woman and a noble who knows how to act gracefully, not like someone else."

"Why you're doing this to me!" Elle cried pitifully and pointing Risa

"Why? You're so funny. Is it fun snatch your friend's fiancé? How is it doing adultery behinds her back? Did you feel some kind of achievement? I really regret that the king still does nothing to your family. You're tarnished the reputation of a noble woman. A wh*re who only knows to shake her waist"

"How can you say such a word!" Raymond angrily snapped while Elle crying pitifully.

"Tch. Let's go, Devi. We have no time to spare for these idiots."

"Disgusting." Aditya snorted and walked away

They are in the balcony, the music still can be heard from here.

"Thank you, Risa." Devi smiled. Risa feel hurt to see her friend being stabbed in the back with that woman.

"Didn't I told you to stay away from that wh*re! That shameless woman. I really want to kill her." Risa snapped

"I know. I'm sorry. I should hear what you said. Thanks to Lady Irene. Now I Can free from both of them."

"You...hah.." Risa can't say anything to her.

"Lady Irene isn't like what we imagined. She is-" Devi tries to change the topic.

"She's a kindhearted woman. She's the genuine hero of commoners. She punished people who unjustly bullied others." Risa continued.

"How can you know that?" She asked dumbfounded. Devi knew nothing about lady Irene, beside hears of her rumours being a vile woman.

"Everyone aware of that. Only a fool fallen for that wh*re's act."

"Also myself." Devi sighed.

"Yeah. You do" both of them laughed.

"You're lucky. I also wanted to be her lady-in-waiting," Risa stared at her envy.

"I can ask her for that" Devi surprised that her friend is a fan of Irene.

"I don't think I can do that." Risa shook her head.

"Why?"

"I'll be leaving the capital and took care of the business in our territory. My father appoint me to lead the business."

"Oh, my.. that's joyful news"

"Isn't it? I pray everything went smoothly for both of us."

They smiled happily.
