“Excuse me, Mrs.Duchess, do you need anything? I noticed you were just staring off as if you were thinking about something,” said Anne.

“Ahh, no, for the time being I don't need anything, and now you may go,” said Kate.

“Alright then, Mrs.Duchess, I will take my leave for now while waiting for you in the dining room, and I will ask the other servants to help you get ready for breakfast,” said Anne.

After Anne left, a few minutes later, a servant came to help Kate clean up and get ready for breakfast. While getting ready and changing clothes, Kate was lost in thought.

“From now on, I have to get used to the name Evallyna Anjulynett and no longer Kate Willow, and after that, I must find a way to change the Duke's cold attitude in order to survive,” thought Evallyna {Kate}.

After a while, Evallyna finally finished her preparations and headed to the dining room for breakfast. Upon arriving in the dining room, Evallyna sat on one of the chairs while asking if the Duke would join for breakfast.

“Anne, will the Duke also be having breakfast?” asked Evallyna {Kate}.

“I’m sorry, Mrs.Duchess, did you forget that the Duke is currently on a mission from His Majesty the Emperor to eliminate the notorious EVER group, and will not return for another month?” replied Anne.

“Hmm, I haven’t forgotten; I just want to know whether the Duke usually eats with me or not,” asked Evallyna {Kate}.

“Emmm, Mrs.Duchess, before I tell you about that, I apologize for my boldness,” said Anne.

“Anne, just get straight to the point. I won’t be angry or punish you,” said Evallyna {Kate}.

“Mrs.Duchess, are you really okay? I'm a bit worried because since this morning you’ve been acting a bit strange, like someone who has forgotten things, even though you already know the answer,” said Anne with a worried tone.

 After hearing Anne's words, Evallyna was no longer surprised because indeed the Duke married her not out of love, but for another reason.

Seeing Evallyna’s expression, Anne immediately realized and apologized again for her impolite words. “Mrs.Duchess, forgive me for saying something impolite and hurting your feelings,” said Anne while kneeling.

After seeing what Anne had done, Evallyna was immediately shocked and helped Anne to stand up. After that, Evallyna said that she would not scold her. Once that small problem was resolved, Anne thanked Evallyna and informed her that there were documents that needed to be completed. Afterward, they went to Evallyna's office.

Meanwhile, on the other side……

"Lord Duke, I want to report that all the remaining members of the EVER criminal group have been eradicated, leaving only one to be brought back and interrogated," said Soldier 1.

"Hmm, I already know. You may leave now, and don't forget to inform the others to get ready it seems we will return to the capital soon," said Xavier.

"Yes, Lord Duke, I will carry it out," said Soldier 1.

After leaving Xavier's camp, Soldier 1 informed the others of what Lord Duke had said.
