Back at the camp where the Duke was….

"Lord Duke, all the matters have been settled and we will prepare to return to your capital," said Vernalto.

"Yes," replied Xavier.

"As cold as usual," Vernalto thought.

After a few seconds passed, Vernalto finally snapped out of it and asked the Duke whether, upon reaching the capital, they would meet His Majesty the Emperor first or stop by the Duke's residence briefly to prepare.

"Lord Duke, may I ask if upon reaching the capital we will meet His Majesty the Emperor first or stop by the Duke's residence first to prepare?" said Vernalto.

"No need to stop by the residence; once we reach the capital, we will meet His Majesty the Emperor first," said Xavier in a somewhat cold tone.

"Very well, Lord Duke, I will inform the others," said Vernalto.

‘I hope Lady Duchess can melt the heart of Lord Duke, who is as cold as ice,’ thought Vernalto.

After that, Vernalto, who was Lord Duke’s trusted personal assistant, immediately informed the others about the Duke’s decision. After several hours had passed, the soldiers had finally finished preparing, and they immediately began their journey.

 Back at the Duke’s residence…

Evallyna, who had finished handling all the documents, returned to her room to rest.

“It’s okay, I don’t take it seriously, and that’s all I can tell you about Xavier. The rest you have to try to find out yourself,” said Evallyna Anjulynett, starting to walk away.

No matter how hard Kate tried to call out to Evallyna, Evallyna did not turn around. Afterwards, Evallyna {Kate} woke up with a shocked expression.
