Episode 4 : The phone call

Julian just about to answer the call but the call is gone. Then he see Elena expression, Elena looked scared, stress and the exhaustion she could no longer hide.

Then Adrian called again so Julian immediatly answer it.

He didn't confronts Adrian.

He didn't speak.

He simply listened.

There was a silence for a second before Adrian's voice filled the speaker, dripping with forced softness that Julian immediatly knew it's fake.

"Elena baby? my dear, please...listen to me. It's not what it looked like yesterday. You misunderstood everything. I never cheat on you, You know me. I love you, i never cheat on you. Please come home. I miss you."

Julian said nothing. He feels like he want to throw up with that fake softness.

Adrian kept going, desperation increasing.

"She's the one that kissed me first. I already push her away..." When Adrian said that, Elena stands because she remember everything and that Adrian lying but Julian asked her to sit down and let him handle it.

Still, Julian stayed silent even he feels like he want to punch Adrian's face.

Adrian started get irritated.

"Elena...why aren't you saying anything? Why aren't you replying? Are you mad? Are you crying? Please say something!!"

Another long pause.

"Elena! Answer me!" Adrian snapped.

That's when Julian finally spoke.

"She's not answering. She's busy." Julian said coldly.

The other end fell completely silent.

"Julian?" His name come out like a poison from Adrian.

"What the hell are you answering her call? What are you doing with her?" Adrian ask completely furious and confused

"Because i want to," he said. "She doesn't want to talk to you."

Adrian scoffed, pure disbelief.

"You don't know anything, Julian. Stay out of this. You don't know anything about our marriage."

Julian leaned back to the couch, he put his other hand on Elena shoulder and pull her closer which make Elena shocked and blushed. His voice hardening.

"Oh..I know everything, Adrian Cole."

Adrian froze. Then, Julian continued. "She told me everything. She told me that you forced her to have a baby when she wasn't ready."

Adrian stuttered. "Julian- stop-"

"You preassured her. Treat her like your damn toy. Manipulated her. Not just that, you never helped her in the house. You let her doing everything alone even when she's pregnant." Julian continued.

"It's her job! She's my wife. She need to clean the house!" Adrian cut him off.

"It's not her job, it's your job too. At least helped her with something not hit her when she doing it wrong." Julian said in harsh tone.

"I never hit her! What are talking about?" Adrian said, clearly mad.

"Don't acted stupid. I already see the bruised on her body. She told me everything. She show me everything." Julian's tone sharpened.

Adrian erupted.

"THAT'S NOT TRUE! SHE'S LYING! I WILL NEVER HIT HER! SHE MAKE IT ALL UP!!"

Julian scoffed.

"If marriage about hurting her, abused her and overworking her, then you don't deserved to have one."

Adrian's breathing turned furious, changing the subjects.

"Why is she with you? Why didn't she come home? Why is MY wife with MY younger brother!?"

Julian didn't hesitate.

"Because you lost the right to be near her then moment you laid a hand on her."
