chapter 2 Zan’s Sacrifice

After announcing that he wants to take “Jenny” (Zan in disguise) to his palace, Yibo shocks everyone in the Noble mansion.

Leo Jin completely panics, almost losing his balance. Tiffany screams his name in fear. Yibo quickly steadies Leo, while Tiffany silently curses Dilruba for running away and causing this disaster.

Zan, still weak from earlier, is laid on the sofa. He slowly regains consciousness, confused about what is happening. Leo and Tiffany argue in private. Tiffany is furious and afraid — if Yibo finds out that Dilruba ran away with her lover, their entire family could be destroyed.

When Zan wakes up fully, Leo desperately asks him to continue pretending to be Dilruba for a while longer. Zan refuses at first, terrified of being exposed. But Tiffany explains the seriousness of the situation — their lives and reputation are at risk.

Leo Jin does something shocking.

He kneels in front of Zan and begs for help.

The Journey to the Palace

A few hours later, Zan (as “Jenny”) leaves with Yibo in his carriage. Tiffany watches with worried eyes, silently praying for his safety.

Inside the carriage, tension fills the air.

Zan avoids Yibo’s sharp gaze, trembling with fear.

Aunt Ling pretends to sleep, too scared to look at Yibo.

But Yibo notices everything.

He comments on Zan’s strange behavior — his rough hands, his heavy voice, his unusual personality. He leans closer, making Zan even more nervous. Zan sweats and struggles to maintain his feminine act.

Yibo teasingly says that Zan’s voice sounds “sexy,” causing Aunt Ling to choke in shock.

Zan’s heart pounds wildly. He is terrified that Yibo has already figured out the truth.

Yet instead of exposing him, Yibo watches him carefully — almost curiously.

When the carriage becomes warm, Yibo opens the window. A cool breeze touches Zan’s face, and for a moment, he relaxes. Yibo quietly thinks he looks beautiful.

Soon, they arrive at the palace.

Yibo steps down first and offers his hand to Zan. Nervous, Zan almost trips — but Yibo catches him in time. Leaning close to his ear, Yibo whispers softly:

“I think I’m already falling for you.”

Zan freezes in shock.

And the story ends with rising tension —
