chapter 5 first kiss

During practice, Yibo suddenly stops dancing.

Jain asks nervously,

“What’s wrong? Were my steps wrong?”

Yibo looks at him intensely and replies,

“No. Your moves were perfect.”

When Jain asks why he stopped, Yibo says softly,

“Because I want this.”

Before Jain can react, Yibo kisses him.

Jain panics and immediately pushes him away.

Shocked and embarrassed, he wipes his lips and runs out of the room. Yibo stands there in disbelief, confused by Jain’s reaction. He begins to wonder if Jain felt uncomfortable or disgusted.

Instead of going to his room, Jain runs straight to Aunty Ling’s room to complain.

He storms in dramatically and says:

“He stole my first kiss!”

The servants leave, and Jain locks the door. He tries to wake Aunty Ling and explains everything angrily and nervously.

Aunty Ling is first shocked… then excited… then worried.

When Jain says he wiped his lips after the kiss, Aunty Ling scolds him:

“Are you crazy?!”

Now Jain panics. He wants to run away from the mansion because he thinks Yibo is too dangerous and unpredictable.

Meanwhile, Yibo goes to Jain’s room to apologize properly.

He knocks and says:

“Miss Jain, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have kissed you without permission.”

There is no answer.

When he opens the door, the room is empty.

A servant informs him that Jain is in Aunty Ling’s room.

Yibo freezes.

In Aunty Ling’s room, Jain tries to escape through the window.

Aunty Ling desperately tries to stop him.

Yibo knocks on the door and warns he will break it if they don’t open it.

In panic, Jain climbs onto the window, trying to jump out.

His clothes get caught on the window frame, and he almost falls.

Aunty Ling screams.

Yibo rushes to help and orders the guards to get ready downstairs.

Jain loses strength and nearly faints, but Yibo manages to grab him and pull him back inside safely.

Once Jain is safe, his body is shaking.

Yibo immediately becomes serious and worried.

He asks:

“Are you hurt? Where?”

Jain, still shaken and in pain from hitting the window frame, says weakly:

“It hurts…”

Yibo panics even more, checking carefully to make sure Jain isn’t seriously injured.

For the first time, his expression isn’t cold or teasing.

It’s full of genuine concern.
