Teo: OP Sa Mundo Ng Alamat

Chapter 1: Liwanag sa Bagong Mundo (Light in a New World)

Mateo "Teo" Reyes awoke to a sky painted in hues of purple and gold, the kind he had never seen even during the most violent sunsets back in Urdaneta City. The scent of damp earth, flowering vines, and something faintly metallic filled the air. He blinked, trying to orient himself, but the landscape before him made no sense. Towering trees with glowing leaves swayed gently, despite the absence of wind. Streams of light twisted through the air like floating rivers, illuminating creatures that shimmered in iridescent colors.

Teo's first instinct-instincts honed from years as a first responder-was to check his body. Everything felt fine. He flexed his fingers, took a deep breath, and noticed the faint hum of energy coursing through him. Then came the voice-a calm, echoing presence in his mind.

"Welcome, chosen one. I am the Divine System. Your journey begins. Current Level: 1. Vitality: 100. Mana: 50. Quests available: 3."

Teo staggered back. "System? Like... a game system? This... can't be real."

The voice didn't answer with words of sympathy-it provided information, as if testing him. He soon realized that hovering before him, semi-transparent and glowing, were floating panels listing skills, stats, and available quests. One quest read: "Investigate nearby wildlife. Identify threat levels."

"Okay," he muttered. "If this is a dream... well, dreams don't usually give me a HUD, so I guess it's real."

As he examined the forest, a sudden rustle in the nearby bushes made him tense. A creature emerged-small, quadrupedal, with eyes that glowed red and a sleek, shadowy coat. Its long ears twitched, and its gaze locked onto him.

The Sigbin, the system informed him, was a low-tier monster, but extremely fast and stealthy.

Instincts took over. Teo ducked behind a tree, remembering his rescue drills back on Earth. He surveyed the creature's movements, calculated possible escape routes, and formulated a plan. The Sigbin pounced, but Teo rolled to the side and drew a jagged, glowing shard from the forest floor-something the system had highlighted as a "usable weapon."

The shard pulsed in his hand, resonating with a strange energy. He lunged, slashing at the Sigbin's side. It yelped, recoiling, then disappeared into the shadows. The system chimed:

"XP +50. Skill Unlocked: Beast Analysis."

Teo exhaled heavily. "Level one... not so bad, I guess." He glanced at the glowing HUD again. "Okay, first day. Survive, figure out the system, learn about monsters. Got it."

He walked forward cautiously, the forest becoming denser. Strange plants emitted soft glows, and the air shimmered as if alive. A faint melody, like a flute, drifted from somewhere above. Following the sound, he reached a clearing where a small river flowed upward-against gravity, twisting around luminous rocks in slow, spiraling arcs.

Hovering above the river, a figure with delicate, translucent wings and hair that glimmered like moonlight stared at him. Her eyes were large, curious, and radiant.

"Who... who are you?" Teo asked, stepping back slightly, unsure whether to fight or flee.

The figure tilted her head. "I am Amihan, guardian of this river. You... are not from here, are you?"

The system whispered: "Diwata identified. Potential ally. Approach with caution and diplomacy. High reward possible."

Teo swallowed, realizing the truth settling in: he was no longer in the world he knew. This was a land of magic, monsters, and myth-but somehow, he had been chosen to walk it, armed with a divine system that could make him overpowered.

He squared his shoulders, feeling that familiar first-responder courage rise in him. "Alright," he said, gripping the shard tightly. "If this world needs saving... I guess it's my turn again."

And with that, Mateo "Teo" Reyes took his first steps into a new adventure-a world of light, magic, and legends that would test him in ways no typhoon ever had.
