Leo laughed from the other side.

“Yeah, man,” he added, grinning. “I even heard some guys have a crush on you.”

David’s fingers tightened slightly around his pen.

For a brief moment, his mind drifted.

“Don’t blame yourself…”

Her voice echoed again.

A faint smile appeared on his lips.

“Shut up, jokers,” David said casually, a small grin forming on his face.

Suddenly—

The classroom door opened.

A group of girls entered.

The noise in the room dropped slightly.

One of them walked forward confidently. The sound of her heels echoed in the silence.

She stopped beside David and sat down next to him, wrapping her arm around his.

“Darling,” she said sweetly, “why didn’t you pick up my call?”

David didn’t even look at her.

“My phone was dead.”

He stood up immediately.

“Let’s go. We’re getting late,” he said to Ryan and Leo.

The girl frowned. “Where?"

Leo raised an eyebrow and smirked.

“None of your business.”

Without another word, the three of them walked out.

Ryan let out a small laugh.

“She never gives up, huh?”

Leo rolled his eyes.“Seriously… she’s crazy.”

David chuckled softly and hit Leo’s shoulder.

“Idiot.”

For a moment, everything felt normal.

Simple.

Easy.

Suddenly—

David’s phone rang.

The atmosphere changed instantly.

He looked at the screen, then answered.

“Hello…

A panicked voice came from the other side.

“Come fast, Young Master! Your father has been attacked!”

David froze.

His expression darkened.

All the warmth in his eyes disappeared in a second.

Ryan and Leo looked at him, confused.

“David…?” Ryan asked.

But David had already turned.

His voice was cold.

“We’re leaving.”

Somewhere far away…

In the shadows…

A pair of cold eyes with a smirks in face watching everything.

And a familiar voice whispered softly—

“So it begins…”

David didn't know.

A storm was coming to him but nobody can tell if it bring fortune or unfortunate it was just a storm coming to destroy everything.
