The storm didn’t wait.
By the time Jimin and Rosé (singer) reached back to the car, the sky had already darkened into a deep, restless grey.
Thunder echoed across the cliffs.
Rain began to fall.
Not softly this time—but sharp, wild, and unstoppable.
Rosé laughed lightly as she tried to cover her head.
“We should go back—”
Before she could finish, a loud crack of thunder startled her.
She slipped slightly on the wet ground.
Jimin caught her instantly.
One arm around her waist.
Pulling her close.
Too close.
“You need to be careful,” he said, his voice low but steady.
Rosé looked up at him.
Rain drops clung to his hair, sliding down slowly across his forehead.
For a second, everything felt still.
Even the storm.
“Thank you…” she whispered.
But Jimin didn’t let go immediately.
His grip tightened just a little.
As if the idea of her slipping away—even for a second—was unacceptable.
They got into the car quickly, rain hitting the windshield in chaotic patterns.
Jimin started driving back toward the city.
But halfway through the road—
The headlights flickered.
Then—
The engine stopped.
The car went silent.
Rosé blinked.
“…What just happened?”
Jimin frowned slightly, trying to restart it.
Nothing.
The storm outside grew stronger.
“We’re stuck,” he said calmly.
Rosé looked outside.
Dark road.
No streetlights.
No people.
“Stuck… here?” she asked softly.
Jimin nodded.
“For a while.”
Instead of panicking, Rosé let out a small nervous laugh.
“Well… this is kind of like a movie scene.”
Jimin looked at her.
“In movies, this is where something bad happens.”
Rosé raised an eyebrow.
“Are you trying to scare me?”
“No,” he said quietly.
“I’m telling you the truth.”
The rain became heavier.
Staying in the car wasn’t safe for long.
Jimin stepped out first, scanning the surroundings quickly.
“There’s a place ahead,” he said, opening Rosé’s door.
“Come.”
She hesitated for half a second.
Then took his hand.
They ran through the rain together.
The road was slippery.
The wind strong.
Rosé almost slipped again—but Jimin held her firmly the entire time.
Finally, they reached an old abandoned structure.
It looked like a small wooden cabin.
Broken windows.
Half-open door.
But it was shelter.
They stepped inside.
The sound of rain softened slightly.
Rosé caught her breath.
“We’re really doing this…”
Jimin looked around carefully before relaxing.
“It’s safe.”
“For now.”
Inside the cabin, it was dark.
Jimin used his phone flashlight.
Dust floated in the air.
A broken chair stood in one corner.
Rosé wrapped her arms around herself.
“I’m cold…”
Without saying anything, Jimin removed his jacket and placed it over her shoulders.
It was warm.
And smelled faintly like him.
Rosé smiled softly.
“Thank you.”
Jimin sat on the floor, leaning against the wall.
“Sit.”
Rosé sat beside him.
Closer than before.
The storm outside grew louder.
But inside…
it felt strangely quiet.
Safe.
After a few minutes, Rosé spoke softly,
“Are you always this serious?”
Jimin glanced at her.
“Only when it matters.”
“And does this matter?”
He looked at her for a long moment.
“Yes.”
Her heart skipped.
Suddenly—
A sound came from outside.
Footsteps.
Rosé froze.
“Jimin…”
He was already alert.
His entire expression changed instantly.
Sharp.
Focused.
Dangerous.
“Stay behind me,” he said quietly.
The footsteps got closer.
Then stopped near the cabin.
Rosé’s heart started racing.
“Who is it…?”
Jimin didn’t answer.
He moved slightly in front of her.
Protective.
Possessive.
The door creaked open slowly.
A shadow appeared.
For a split second—
Jimin grabbed a metal rod lying nearby.
His eyes darkened.
Ready to attack.
But then—
A drunk man stumbled in, barely able to stand.
Jimin didn’t lower his guard immediately.
He stepped forward.
One look.
Cold.
Threatening.
“Leave.”
The man froze.
Something in Jimin’s presence made it clear—
this wasn’t someone to mess with.
Without a word, the man turned and left.
The door slammed shut again.
Silence returned.
After the Fear
Rosé let out the breath she had been holding.
“That was scary…”
Jimin turned back to her.
His expression softened immediately.
“You’re safe.”
She nodded.
“I know.”
Then she looked at him carefully.
“You were ready to fight…”
Jimin looked away slightly.
“That’s normal for me.”
Rosé studied him.
“You really are dangerous, aren’t you?”
He smirked faintly.
“I told you already.”
“But…” she continued softly,
“You’re also kind.”
That made him pause.
For a moment, he didn’t know what to say.
Closer Than Before
The storm slowly started calming down.
The rain softened.
Inside the cabin, the air felt warmer now.
Rosé leaned slightly closer to him.
Not thinking too much.
Just feeling safe.
Jimin noticed.
His breath slowed.
“Rosé…”
“Yes?”
“If something ever happens…”
He hesitated.
Then continued,
“I won’t let anyone touch you.”
Her heart raced.
“You’re very protective.”
“I’m very serious.”
She smiled softly.
“I can see that.”
For a moment, they just looked at each other.
No fear.
No noise.
Just them.
Then Rosé whispered,
“I’m glad I’m here with you.”
Jimin’s eyes softened in a way no one else ever saw.
“…Me too.”
