Haunted Hotel ( English )
Along an old mountain path stood a closed guesthouse—“Shantiniketan Lodge.” People said that anyone who spent the night there never returned the same as they had left.
One rainy evening, five friends lost their way and ended up at the same lodge. Inside, they found an old watchman with strange, empty eyes. He simply said, “Don’t open room number 7… no matter what sounds come from inside.”
The night deepened. The electricity went out. Suddenly, a girl’s crying sounded from upstairs. First softly… then turning into screams.
One friend said fearfully, “Someone is trapped there!”
The others tried to stop them, but curiosity prevailed. They all rushed upstairs with flashlights.
The door to room number 7 was half open.
Inside, there were nail marks on the walls. In the middle, there was a broken bed, and on it, an old diary. As soon as they opened the diary, the last line was written—
“If you are reading this, she is standing behind you now…”
The flashlight began to blink.
Everyone slowly looked back—
A woman was standing near the door, wet hair sticking to her face, her legs bent.
One friend screamed and ran, but fell down the stairs. When they reached the bottom, the watchman was gone… and the main door was locked from the outside.
Just then, the sound of doors opening simultaneously came from every room in the lodge.
The woman from room number 7 was now in the hall downstairs—and she held the same diary, a new line now appearing in it:
“Six people came…
Now only one remains.”
The police arrived in the morning. The lodge was empty.
Only a new photograph was found in the hall—hanging on the wall.
In that photograph, the five friends stood…
and behind them, a sixth figure was smiling.
The only remaining boy was found unconscious at the edge of the forest in the morning. When he regained consciousness, he had no clear memory of the previous night—only fragmented scenes: screams, darkness, and the woman with her legs bent.
The police repeatedly asked him, "Where are the other four?"
But he had no answer.
A few days later, he returned home. Initially, everything seemed normal... but on the very first night, he heard a soft knock on his bedroom window.
Tock... Tock... Tock...
When he pulled back the curtain, the same woman was standing outside, on the third floor, clinging to the window.
The next morning, written in clay on the window, "You didn't escape... You were simply chosen."
Slowly, strange things began to happen to him. Every night at exactly 2:17 a.m., all the clocks in the house would stop. His phone would automatically display images of dark rooms, with the same figure visible in the background.
One night, he decided he couldn't live without finding out the truth. He reopened the diary, which had mysteriously been found in his bag.
On the last page, it read:
"The one who survives becomes the next watchman."
Just then there was a knock on the door.
The door opened—no one was outside.
But on the ground lay the same old watchman's lantern from "Shantiniketan Lodge."
And behind it, a shadow appeared on the wall—
This time, not the woman...
But his own shadow,
whose eyes were no longer human.
The next morning, the boy was missing.
A few months later, a new traveler arrived at the same lodge to escape the rain.
A new watchman opened the door...
His eyes were empty.
His face seemed familiar.
He was the same last remaining boy.
