My mafia husband begged me to come back chapter 4

Part 1: The Escape

I waited for the perfect moment.

And when it came—I didn’t hesitate.

The guards had shifted, the hallway was quiet, and for once, Rayan wasn’t watching. My heart pounded as I slipped through the back gate, my breath shaky but determined.

Freedom.

It was so close I could taste it.

I ran.

Barefoot, desperate, not caring where I went—only that I got away from him.

From the lies.

From the man who owned me.

But just as I reached the empty road, headlights flashed.

A black car screeched to a halt in front of me.

Before I could react, rough hands grabbed me.

A scream tore from my throat.

And then—

Darkness.

Part 2: Into the Enemy’s Hands

When I woke up, everything hurt.

My wrists were tied, my head spinning.

A cold, unfamiliar room.

“Finally awake,” a voice said.

I looked up—and froze.

A man sat across from me, smiling like he already owned my fate.

“You’re valuable,” he said calmly. “Do you know that?”

My throat went dry. “Who are you?”

He leaned forward. “Someone your husband fears.”

My heart skipped.

“Rayan won’t come for you,” I whispered, more to myself than him.

The man laughed. “Oh, he will.”

His smile darkened.

“And when he does… I’ll make sure he regrets ever touching what’s mine.”

Mine?

Fear gripped me.

I wasn’t free.

I had only fallen into something worse.

Part 3: A King’s Rage

Rayan didn’t speak.

Not when they told him I was missing.

Not when they found the broken gate.

Not even when they confirmed—

I had been taken.

But the silence was terrifying.

Because behind it…

Was rage.

“Who?” he asked finally, his voice deadly calm.

“Unknown,” one of his men replied.

The room went still.

Then—

Rayan moved.

The table shattered under his fist.

“Find her,” he ordered, his voice like ice. “Or none of you will live to regret failing me.”

For the first time…

The king wasn’t in control.

And that made him dangerous.

part 4: The Game Begins

Days passed.

No rescue.

No sign of Rayan.

The man who held me captive watched me closely.

“You’re waiting for him,” he said one day.

I didn’t respond.

“He won’t come,” he continued. “Men like him don’t love. They possess.”

Something inside me twisted.

“Good,” I said coldly. “Then I don’t want him to come.”

The man studied me, amused.

“Liar.”

I clenched my fists.

Was I lying?

No.

I hated Rayan.

Didn’t I?

part 5: The Truth He Couldn’t Hide

Back at the mansion, Rayan found something.

A clue.

A name.

And when he saw it—

His expression darkened.

“Of course,” he muttered.

This wasn’t random.

This was revenge.

And I was the target.

For the first time since I disappeared—

Rayan looked afraid.

Not for himself.

For me.
