CH1: THE UNWANTED GIRL

[ SCENE: DAWSON RESIDENCE / MORNING ]

The sound of shouting and breaking things was the usual morning alarm for Becca Dawson.

"Becca! You useless girl! Where is my breakfast?! Do you want me to starve?!"

It was her stepmother, Madam Sarah, shouting from the dining room like a furious witch.

Becca, who was just finishing her homework on the small table in the corner, quickly stood up. "I'm sorry, Mom! It's ready now!"

She hurriedly brought the food to the table. But before she could even put it down, her stepbrother, Kevin, kicked her leg hard.

"Ouch!" Becca fell to her knees.

"Look at you! So clumsy!" Kevin sneered, looking at her with disgust. "Why are you even here? You are just a burden to this family. You should just drop out of school and work to pay our bills!"

Becca bit her lip, holding back the tears. She was used to this. Since her father died, she was no longer a daughter here—she was a servant. Her own family treated her like trash just because she was weak and poor compared to them.

"Eat quickly, Kevin. We have to go," Sarah said coldly, not even looking at Becca. "And you! Clean this mess up after. And don't forget, you have that medical check-up today. Use your own money. We won't spend a cent on you."

"Yes..." Becca whispered softly. "I understand."

[ SCENE: THE STREETS / LATER ]

Becca walked to school wearing an old uniform that was slightly faded. Even at school, life was not easier.

"Hey! Look who is here! The beggar girl!"

"Becca! Give me your lunch money!"

"She is so ugly and poor! Stay away from us!"

Every day was the same. She was bullied, pushed around, and insulted. Becca just lowered her head and endured it all. She told herself that one day, she would escape this hell. She would study hard and build her own life.

But today, she felt dizzy and weak. That was why she needed to go to the hospital after class.

[ SCENE: ST. MARY'S HOSPITAL / AFTERNOON ]

The hospital was huge, clean, and cold. Becca felt small standing there holding her paper. She went to the counter to submit her form.

"Name?" the nurse asked without looking up.

"Becca... Becca Dawson," she answered shyly.

The nurse typed quickly. Suddenly, she stopped and frowned. "Wait... Dawson? But the schedule says Veca Hadrid? Are you Veca Hadrid?"

Becca blinked. "No... I am Becca Dawson."

"Strange," the nurse mumbled. "The doctor said to prepare Room 302 for Veca Hadrid. The name is similar, and you are around the same age. Maybe there was a typo."

Because Becca looked poor and the name was almost similar, the nurse didn't bother to check again. She was tired and wanted to finish her work.

"Whatever. Just go inside Room 302. The doctor is waiting."

"Thank you," Becca said gratefully, thinking she was lucky to be accommodated quickly.

She entered the room and laid down on the bed. She didn't know that this hospital, and this very room, was secretly owned by the most powerful family in the country—the Hans Family.

And the procedure waiting for her inside was not just a simple check-up.

It was meant for someone else. Someone rich. Someone who was supposed to carry the child of the Alpha King.

[ SCENE: INSIDE THE OPERATING ROOM / MOMENTS LATER ]

Becca was given anesthesia. She slowly closed her eyes and fell asleep.

The doctors and specialists entered the room. They were all nervous and respectful.

"Is the patient ready?" the head doctor asked.

"Yes, Doctor. The specimen is ready. This is for the Alpha King. We must succeed."

They thought they were preparing Veca Hadrid, the chosen surrogate. But instead, they were looking at the poor, innocent girl, Becca Dawson.

Without knowing the truth, they proceeded with the procedure. They inserted the carefully preserved seed belonging to Alpha Jason Hans—the man who was said to be infertile, the man who wanted an heir at all costs.

[ SCENE: AFTER THE PROCEDURE ]

When Becca woke up, she felt a little sore but okay.

"Done already?" she asked groggily.

"Yes. You can go home now. Just come back for the results next week," the nurse said hurriedly and gave her a paper.

Becca walked out of the hospital, completely unaware that her life had just changed forever. Inside her womb, a new life was starting to grow.

The child of the most powerful Alpha King was now growing inside the body of the most unwanted girl.
