CH4: THE UNWELCOME VISITORS

[ SCENE: THE MANSION / ONE WEEK LATER ]

Life inside the Hans mansion was luxurious but lonely. Becca had everything she needed—delicious food, soft clothes, and a comfortable room—but she had no freedom and no love.

Jason treated her like invisible air. He would eat with her, but never spoke unless it was about the baby. He would look at her, but his eyes were empty.

But Becca was slowly changing. Her body was adjusting, and strangely, she was starting to feel stronger. She didn't get tired easily anymore, and her senses were becoming sharper.

One afternoon, she was sitting in the garden reading a book when the sound of loud cars interrupted the peace.

BEEP! BEEP!

Becca stood up and looked towards the gate. Her face turned pale.

"NO... It can't be..."

It was her stepmother, Sarah, and her stepbrother, Kevin. They were shouting at the guards, trying to force their way inside.

[ SCENE: THE ENTRANCE HALL ]

"Where is she?! We know she is here!" Sarah screamed like a madwoman. "She is our daughter! We have the right to see her!"

"Madam, you cannot enter without permission!" the guards blocked them.

Just then, Becca arrived, followed by Jason who had sensed the disturbance.

"Becca!" Kevin saw her and immediately put on a fake smile. "There you are! We were so worried about you! Why did you leave home without telling us?"

Sarah walked closer, looking around the mansion with greedy eyes. "Oh my! So this is where you live now? So beautiful! You really hit the jackpot, didn't you?"

They completely ignored Jason standing there, thinking he was just a bodyguard.

"Who is this rich man?" Sarah whispered loudly to Becca. "Is he your sugar daddy? Tell him to give us money! Lots of it! And buy me a new car too!"

Becca trembled in anger and shame. "Mom... stop it... please..."

"Stop what?!" Sarah’s voice turned sharp. "You ungrateful girl! We raised you! Now that you are living in a palace, you forget us? Give me your card! Or else I will tell everyone here that you are a shameless woman!"

[ SCENE: THE ALPHA'S WRATH ]

That was enough.

GROWL!!!

A low, terrifying growl vibrated through the entire hall. The temperature dropped instantly.

Jason stepped forward. He didn't shout, but his voice was like ice hitting the ground.

"WHO. DARES. TO. SPEAK."

Sarah and Kevin froze. They finally looked at Jason properly. When they saw his eyes—red, glowing, and filled with killing intent—they stumbled back in fear.

"Y-You..." Kevin stuttered.

"You want money?" Jason asked slowly, walking towards them. His aura was so heavy that Becca could barely breathe, but surprisingly, she felt protected.

"You came to my house, insulted my property, and demanded things?" Jason looked at them with pure disgust.

"Becca is no longer related to you," Jason said coldly. "She is under my protection. She carries my child. If you ever come near her again, or even say her name..."

Jason leaned down, staring into their souls.

"I will feed you to my wolves. Get out. Before I change my mind."

[ SCENE: THE CHASE AWAY ]

Sarah and Kevin were shaking like leaves. They finally realized who they were talking to. This was the Alpha King! The most dangerous man in the country!

"W-We are sorry! We are leaving!" Sarah screamed, dragging Kevin with her. "Come on! Let's go!"

They ran as fast as they could to their car and sped away, leaving dust behind. They were too scared to ever come back.

[ SCENE: SILENCE ]

When they were gone, Jason straightened up and turned around. His expression went back to normal, but he was still frowning.

He looked at Becca, who was standing there with tears in her eyes.

"Don't let them come back," Jason said sternly. "They are trash. They don't deserve you."

Becca looked up at him. For the first time, she didn't see him as a monster. She saw him as someone who defended her.

"Thank you..." she whispered softly. "Thank you for protecting me, Alpha Jason."

Jason was stunned for a second. Her voice was so soft and sincere. His heart skipped a beat, something that never happened to him before.

He quickly turned away to hide his reaction.

"Hmph! I didn't do it for you," he lied, crossing his arms. "I did it because they were annoying and they disturbed my peace. And don't call me Alpha Jason... just call me Jason."

He walked away quickly, leaving Becca confused but smiling.

'He is not as bad as he looks...' Becca thought, touching her heart which was beating fast.
