CH5: THE AWAKENING POWER

[ SCENE: THE MANSION / NIGHT TIME ]

A few weeks had passed since the incident with her family. Life became much quieter and peaceful. Becca was starting to adjust to her new life.

But lately, something strange was happening to her body.

Every night, she would feel a strange heat spreading inside her. Her senses were becoming incredibly sharp. She could hear the servants talking from floors away. She could smell the flowers in the garden even with her window closed.

And most importantly... she could feel Jason’s presence anywhere in the house.

His scent, which used to smell like cold ice and danger, was now starting to smell like warm sandalwood and something very addictive. It made her heart race.

[ SCENE: THE GARDEN / NEXT DAY ]

"One, two, three..."

Becca was surprised to find herself running around the garden effortlessly. Before, she would get tired just walking up the stairs, but now she felt light and energetic.

"Wow... I am so strong now," she whispered, looking at her hands. "Is it because of the baby? Or is something else changing inside me?"

Suddenly, the atmosphere changed. The wind stopped blowing. The birds stopped chirping.

A heavy, aggressive aura descended on the garden.

STEP... STEP... STEP...

A man walked out from behind the trees. He was muscular, with long hair and a scar on his face. He was an Alpha, but his aura was dirty and evil.

"Well, well... what do we have here?" the man grinned maliciously, looking at Becca with hungry eyes. "A pretty little Omega. And you smell so sweet... are you pregnant?"

Becca stepped back, feeling fear but also... something else. A strange surge of power rising from her chest.

"Who are you?! This is private property! Get out!" Becca shouted, trying to sound brave.

The man laughed loudly. "I am Rocco. I came to see the famous Alpha King, Jason Hans. But finding you is a much better prize. Come with me, little one. I will treat you better than that cold hearted king."

He reached out his hand to grab her. "Submit to me! I am an Alpha! Kneel!"

Usually, when an Alpha issued a command, weaker people or Omegas would automatically obey. Their bodies would freeze and they would be forced to kneel.

But Becca didn't move.

She felt the pressure, yes. It was heavy. But inside her, something woke up. A golden light seemed to glow in her heart.

"I SAID KNEEL!" Rocco roared, using his full power.

Becca closed her eyes. And then...

BOOM!!!

An invisible force exploded from Becca’s body! It was so strong it pushed Rocco back several steps!

"W-What?!" Rocco’s eyes widened in shock. "You... you rejected my command?! How can a weak human like you resist an Alpha's order?!"

Becca opened her eyes. They were no longer timid brown eyes. They looked sharp and determined.

"I said... don't touch me," Becca said firmly. Her voice was soft but carried authority. "I belong to no one. And I will not kneel to evil."

[ SCENE: THE FIGHT ]

Rocco got angry. "You witch! You must have some trick!"

He lunged at her, claws extending from his hands. He wanted to kill her and take the baby.

Becca’s instincts took over. She didn't know how, but she moved swiftly, dodging his attack like she had been trained her whole life.

She picked up a thick stick from the ground and swung it hard!

CRACK!

It hit Rocco right on the face!

"ARGGHHH!! MY NOSE!"

Becca panted heavily, standing in a defensive position. She was protecting her stomach with one hand while holding the stick with the other.

"You won't get near my baby!" she declared bravely.

[ SCENE: JASON ARRIVES ]

"ROARR!!!"

A deafening roar echoed across the entire mansion. Jason Hans appeared in a flash. He saw Rocco attacking Becca, and his sanity snapped completely.

"YOU DARE TO TOUCH WHAT IS MINE?!"

Jason jumped in front of Becca, shielding her. He transformed partially—his eyes turned red, and fangs appeared.

"Jason!" Becca called out, relieved but still shaking.

"Stay behind me," Jason ordered without looking back, his voice full of rage. "I will kill this bastard."

Rocco was terrified now. He realized he had made a huge mistake. "J-Jason! Wait! I didn't know she was yours! I-"

"SILENCE!"

Jason attacked with lightning speed. It was over in seconds. He broke Rocco’s arm and knocked him unconscious with one powerful punch.

"Guards! Take this trash away and torture him!" Jason ordered coldly.

[ SCENE: AFTERMATH ]

When the danger was gone, Jason immediately turned around. His expression changed from murderous rage to worry.

He grabbed Becca’s shoulders and checked her up and down frantically.

"Becca! Are you hurt?! Did he touch you?! Did he hurt the baby?!"

Becca looked up at him, still breathing hard. She was amazed.

"I... I am okay, Jason," she said. "But... did you see that? I resisted him! I pushed his power away! And I fought back!"

Jason looked at her seriously. He held her small hands.

"I saw it," he said softly. "You are not just an ordinary human, Becca. You are not just a surrogate mother."

He looked deep into her eyes.

"The power you have... it is the power of a True Luna. Only the one chosen by the Moon Goddess can reject other Alphas and possess such strength."

Becca blinked. "True... Luna?"

"Yes," Jason nodded, his heart beating fast. "You are special. Very special."

For the first time, Jason didn't see her as just a container for his child. He saw her as a woman who was strong, brave, and worthy to stand beside him.
