The Boy Who Always Chose Others
Morning sunlight poured gently over the schoolyard, wrapping everything in a warmth so ordinary it felt safe. Laughter echoed near the buses, light and careless, as students argued over snacks and music like nothing in the world could ever go wrong.
Among them stood a boy, our protagonist — “ Sang–Jaey” .
He wasn’t the loudest. Not the strongest. Not the kind people noticed first.
But he was so kind that people trusted him without knowing why.
A classmate rushed past and bumped into him, nearly losing balance.
“Ah! Sorry, Sang!”
Sang-Jaey steadied him with a small, calm smile.
“It’s okay. You didn’t fall, so we’re good.”
Nearby, a girl struggled with a heavy bag filled with picnic supplies. Before she could even ask for help, Sang-Jaey had already lifted it onto his shoulder.
She blinked in surprise.
“You don’t have to carry everything!”
He chuckled softly, as if it meant nothing.
“It’s fine. If I carry it, you can enjoy the trip.”
The teacher clapped loudly, his voice cutting through the chatter.
“Alright everyone! The buses are ready. Our mountain picnic starts now!”
Cheers rose into the air.
No one realized… the mountain they were heading toward had already become something else.
It was no longer just a place, but the center of something unknown.
A place where fate had already begun to wait.
A Message Hidden Inside the Spell
Far beneath the surface of the world, inside the cold depths of SSR Lab, the air felt heavy with tension.
Machines hummed endlessly. Screens flickered with restless streams of data.
At the center of it all lay the fragment.
Broken. Sharp. Glass-like.
Alive.
Its faint glow painted the faces of the scientists in unnatural light.
A scientist leaned closer to the monitor as the scanning system slowly began decoding the symbols etched into the fragment.
The room grew silent.
Lines of text appeared—fragmented, incomplete… yet intentional.
A scientist’s voice trembled.
“Doctor… it’s not natural.”
Dr. Kwan’s gaze sharpened.
“What do you mean?”
The scientist pointed at the screen, unease spreading across his face.
“This object wasn’t formed by natural or cosmic forces…”
A pause filled the room, thick and suffocating.
Then the truth slipped out, quiet and terrifying.
“It was made.”
Murmurs spread.
Someone… somewhere… had created this.
And sent it across the universe.
The machine beeped again.
More symbols aligned. More meaning formed.
The message appeared slowly, like something struggling to be understood.
“The savior of worlds… and the savior… and the savior contains a mar… T-blood…”
Silence fell.
Dr. Kwan stared at the incomplete message, his mind racing through possibilities that made no sense.
A savior. A mark. T-blood.
Who… was it meant for?
The Search for Rare Blood
Dr. Kwan straightened, his voice cutting cleanly through the tension.
“Dr. Shine.”
She turned instantly.
“Yes, Doctor?”
He gestured toward the glowing message.
“Begin a global database search.”
She hesitated slightly.
“For what exactly?”
His eyes hardened with quiet certainty.
“For rare blood types.”
The room stirred again.
Dr. Shine’s fingers moved rapidly across the console.
“If the message refers to a specific genetic marker… we might be able to locate a match.”
Dr. Kwan folded his arms, his gaze locked onto the fragment.
His voice dropped, almost to himself.
“If this object crossed the universe just to reach Earth…”
A shadow passed through his eyes.
“Then someone here must be the key… someone it was destined for.”
A Picnic Beneath the Same sky
Hours later, the mountains echoed with laughter instead of machine noise.
The buses had arrived. Students spilled out, stretching, breathing in the cool air, their excitement filling the space between trees and sunlight.
Everything felt alive. Carefree.
Sang-Jaey sat quietly on a rock, his lunchbox resting in his hands, watching the others run and laugh.
A friend nudged him playfully.
“Why are you sitting there like an old man? Come play!”
Sang-Jaey smiled faintly, eyes drifting toward the endless view.
“I’m enjoying the view.”
The wind moved softly through the trees. Birds sang above.
For a moment… the world felt perfect.
Then—
A thunderous sound tore through the sky.The ground trembled violently beneath their feet. Shockwaves rippled through the air.
Laughter vanished. The sky twisted. As if something unseen had ripped reality apart.
A massive tear opened above the mountain—a swirling vortex of darkness spreading across the heavens.
The wind roared.
And fear… followed.
The Monster from Beyond
From the heart of the portal, something began to descend.
Not human. Not anything known.
Its body resembled a distorted figure, its form bending unnaturally, muscles shifting beneath dark, unnatural skin. Its eyes burned—not with rage alone, but with awareness.
Intelligence.
The moment it touched the ground… the air recoiled.
The creature lifted its head slowly, scanning the world.
It could feel something.
A presence. Unknown. Dangerous.
And somewhere on this planet.
Humans.
Its expression twisted.
A low growl escaped its throat.
“Grrrr…”
Then—
It moved.
A single swing of its arm sent fleeing hikers crashing through the air like broken leaves.
Screams shattered the mountain’s peace.
Students ran in every direction.
Teachers shouted desperately.
“Run! Everyone run to the bus!”
Chaos swallowed everything.
The Choice of a Hero
Sang-Jaey ran.
His heart pounded wildly, breath breaking with every step. Fear gripped him tightly as the monster tore through everything behind him.
No one could stop it. No one could fight it.
Then—
A small figure fell.
A boy, too slow, too scared—collapsed onto the dirt path.
The monster saw him.Its shadow stretched over the child like a death sentence.
Its arm rose.
Ready to strike.
People kept running.
No one turned back.
No one… except one.
Sang-Jaey stopped.
His body trembled. His mind screamed at him to run.
But another voice rose within him.
Clear.
Unavoidable.
If he kept running… that boy would die.
His fists clenched.
His breath shook.
And then, quietly—
He whispered to himself,
“…I can’t ignore this.”
In that moment, fear didn’t disappear.
It simply lost.
Sang-Jaey turned.
And ran.
Not away.
But toward the monster.
Toward death. Faster.
“ Come on!”
He muttered under his breath. Toward something far greater than himself— something he couldn’t yet understand.
Toward the moment… that would change the fate of the world.
