Scene 1 — Surrounded
The warehouse lights flickered, casting long, jagged shadows across the concrete floor.
Aika and Ren stood back‑to‑back, their breathing steady, their eyes sharp.
The masked intruders circled them like wolves.
One of them laughed.
“So this is the famous Nightfang and Shirogane. Cute. I expected more.”
Aika’s expression didn’t change, but her voice dropped to a cold whisper.
“You talk too much.”
Ren smirked.
“She’s right. If you’re gonna threaten us, at least try not to sound pathetic.”
The intruder snarled. “You two are dead.”
Aika tilted her head.
“Try it.”

Scene 2 — The Dance of Shadows
The first attacker lunged.
Aika moved like a blade of moonlight—swift, silent, precise.
She dodged effortlessly, her footwork light, her expression calm.
Ren fought with the opposite style—powerful, direct, overwhelming.
Every movement was controlled strength, every strike a warning.
Aika glanced at him mid‑fight.
“You’re being loud.”
Ren blocked a punch and grinned.
“And you’re being dramatic.”
“It’s called efficiency.”
“It’s called showing off.”
Aika rolled her eyes, but her lips twitched.
---
Scene 3 — Aika’s Slip
One of the intruders threw a flash pellet.
A burst of white light filled the warehouse.
Aika’s vision blurred for a split second—just long enough for an attacker to grab her wrist.
Ren’s voice cut through the chaos.
“Aika!”
She twisted free, but the momentary slip made her furious.
“Tch… sloppy.”
Ren stepped in front of her, eyes dark.
“You’re allowed to slip once in a while.”
Aika glared. “No. I’m not.”
Ren’s voice softened.
“You’re human.”
Aika froze for half a second.
No one had ever said that to her.

Scene 4 — Nightfang’s Warning
The remaining intruders hesitated, realizing they were outmatched.
Ren cracked his knuckles.
“Alright. I’m done playing nice.”
Aika raised an eyebrow. “That was you being nice?”
Ren smirked.
“You haven’t seen me pissed off yet.”
The intruders backed away, but Ren stepped forward, his voice low and dangerous.
“Tell your boss this:
If you come after my wife again, I’ll make sure you regret breathing.”
Aika blinked.
My wife.
The words hit her harder than she expected.
---
Scene 5 — The Escape
The intruders threw smoke bombs and fled into the night.
Aika moved to chase them, but Ren grabbed her wrist gently.
“Let them go.”
Aika frowned. “Why?”
“Because they’re running back to whoever sent them. And we’ll follow.”
Aika stared at him.
“You planned this?”
Ren shrugged.
“Not exactly. But I’m good at improvising.”
Aika sighed.
“You’re reckless.”
“And you’re stubborn.”
They stared at each other, tension thick in the air.
Then Aika said quietly:
“…Thank you.”
Ren blinked.
“For what?”
“For having my back.”
Ren smiled—soft, real.
“Always.”
Aika looked away quickly, cheeks warming.
“Don’t say things like that.”
“Why not?”
“Because it’s annoying.”
Ren laughed.
“No. You just don’t know how to handle it.”
Aika didn’t answer.
Because he was right.

Scene 6 — A New Enemy Revealed
As they left the warehouse, Aika noticed something on the ground—a small metal emblem.
She picked it up.
A crescent moon crossed by a blade.
Her blood ran cold.
“Ren… this isn’t Tsukishiro.”
Ren stepped closer.
“Then who?”
Aika closed her hand around the emblem.
“…A rogue faction. One that was erased years ago.”
Ren’s eyes narrowed.
“Erased?”
Aika nodded slowly.
“They call themselves Kagegiri. The Shadow Cutters.”
Ren exhaled.
“So the ghosts of the underworld are crawling back.”
Aika met his gaze.
“And they’re coming for us.”
Ren stepped closer, his voice low.
“Then let them come.”
Aika’s heart skipped.
Because for the first time…
she didn’t feel alone.
