Broken Memories – Chapter 1: The Forgotten Classroom

Rain was falling heavily over Sakura High School.

Students hurried through the gate while thunder echoed across the sky.

A girl stood alone near the old classroom building.

Her name was Aira Mizuno.

She looked at a small photo in her hand.

“Why can’t I remember this person…?” she whispered.

The photo showed Aira smiling beside a boy whose face was scratched out.

Scene 1 – The Transfer Student

Inside Class 2-B, students were talking loudly.

Suddenly, the classroom door opened.

The teacher entered with a tall boy wearing headphones.

“This is our new transfer student,” the teacher said.

“His name is Ren Kuroi.”

Ren looked around silently.

The moment Aira saw him, her heart started beating fast.

Thump.

A strange memory flashed in her mind—

A dark hallway.

Someone crying.

Blood on the floor.

Aira suddenly stood up.

“Have we met before?” she asked nervously.

Ren’s eyes widened for a second.

But then he turned away.

“No,” he replied coldly.

Scene 2 – The Old Music Room

After school, Aira followed Ren to the abandoned music room on the third floor.

Nobody used that room anymore.

The door creaked open slowly.

“You’ve been following me since morning,” Ren said without turning around.

Aira stepped inside carefully.

“I feel like I know you,” she said.

“And every time I see you… I remember something scary.”

Lightning flashed outside the window.

Ren stayed silent.

Then he finally spoke.

“Some memories are better forgotten.”

Aira became angry.

“Then tell me the truth!”

Ren looked at her seriously for the first time.

“Three years ago,” he said quietly,

“someone disappeared from this school.”

Aira froze.

Another memory appeared—

A girl screaming for help.

Aira holding someone’s hand.

A broken necklace falling to the floor.

Scene 3 – The Hidden Notebook

Ren walked toward an old desk and opened it.

Inside was a dusty notebook.

On the cover was written:

> “To Aira – Never Remember That Day.”

Aira’s hands trembled.

“How do you know my name…?”

Before Ren could answer—

BANG!

The classroom door slammed shut by itself.

The lights went out.

Footsteps echoed in the darkness.

Step…

Step…

Step…

Aira whispered fearfully,

“Someone is here…”

Then a voice came from behind them.

“You were never supposed to come back.”

A shadow appeared near the window.

And in its hand—

was the same broken necklace from Aira’s memory.
