Opening Scene — Dawn at Tsukihoshi Shrine
The sun rises over the ancient shrine, cherry blossoms drifting in the morning breeze.
Inside the caretaker’s house, Haruto Minase wakes up to the sound of a wooden bell.
He sits up, rubbing his eyes… and sees Miyuri Kanzaki already tying her hair with a red ribbon.
Miyuri:
“Haruto, you’ll be late for morning prayers again.”
Haruto blushes slightly.
Even though they’ve lived together for years, waking up beside her still makes his heart skip.
Haruto:
“I’m up, I’m up… you don’t have to act like my wife.”
She pauses.
Her cheeks turn pink.
Miyuri:
“…I am your wife. At least according to the shrine.”
He freezes.
She’s right — the shrine’s ancient blessing bound them together when they were children.
Only their closest friends know the truth.

In the shrine’s kitchen, their friends are already eating.
Souta:
“Morning, newlyweds.”
Haruto nearly drops the rice bowl.

The teasing is constant, but it’s warm — like a family.

Haruto and Miyuri walk down the long stone steps of the shrine toward the town.
They keep a careful distance.
At school, they must act like normal classmates.

“Do you think anyone will notice…?”
Haruto:
“As long as we don’t act weird, we’ll be fine.”
A cherry blossom petal lands on her hair.
Without thinking, Haruto reaches out and brushes it away.
They both freeze.
A group of students walks by.
Student:
“Whoa, Minase and Kanzaki are walking together? Are they dating?”
Haruto and Miyuri jump apart so fast it looks suspicious.

Inside the classroom, rumors spread instantly.
“They came to school together.”
“Are they childhood friends?”

Haruto tries to stay calm.
Miyuri hides behind her textbook.
Their friends, sitting behind them, whisper:
Rika:
“This is going to be fun.”
Souta:
“Operation: Keep Their Marriage Secret begins.”

The group returns to the shrine for evening duties.
Haruto and Miyuri sweep the courtyard together.
The lanterns glow softly as the sun sets.
Miyuri:
“Today was… scary.”
Haruto:
“Yeah. But we’ll manage. We always do.”
She looks at him — really looks at him.
Miyuri:
“Haruto… even if we have to hide it… I’m glad we’re married.”
He turns red from ear to ear.
Haruto:
“…Me too.”
A gentle breeze blows, carrying cherry blossoms around them like a blessing.

Final Shot
The camera pans upward to the shrine roof, where a pair of fox statues watch silently.
A faint glow surrounds them — as if the shrine itself approves of the young couple’s bond.
