The Dove

"Good morning class! I'm your lecturer Venu Gopal Iyer." the lecturer sounds so filled to the brim with life, yet we know that he's going to be the same person who is going to judge us by our attire. "Today's topic in General Management is Organizational Behavior. Now, before we start our lecture we're going to wait for the late comers, if there are any that are." he's a typical Tamil old man in the mid 40's with the tilak, and white attire, nothing much about him.

"Can I come in sir?" it's Meenu, she's the late one. "I don't know, can you?" the lecturer jokes and laughs at his own joke. "You may." he flicks his hand and starts writing on the white board. Meenu finds her way to me, and sits next to me. "When did you arrive?" she whispers, "Just shortly before you did. Why are you late anyway?" I ask, "I forgot I'm in section B and roamed around the campus trying to find the section B." she replies and I giggle. "Dumbo, the sir is going to scold us if he sees us." she whispers again. "Anyway, let's just take notes." I tell her.

*an hour and a half pass by ending the lecture and giving us a break*

"Hey... I'm Manu." someone reaches out to Meenu, he's lean and has good facial features, might be too skinny but Meenu is already twirling in her seat. "Hi.! I'm Meenakshi, you can call me Meenu." she stutters saying that while fixing her hair. It would be rude, if I didn't introduce myself, so I did. "I'm Sahana." I gave him the most articulated smile ever. "So, want to grab a coffee?" Manu asks both of us, "Yes, I'd love to!" Meenu replies with her at most excitement, and he couldn't help but grin. "I don't drink coffee, but I'm down for a diet coke." my words directed to Meenu.

We get to the cafeteria where Manu introduces to his friend Satya, "Girls, this is Satya." he introduces him and Satya just sits there absolutely tired holding two coats, one of them isn't his. He looks like the handsome version of the Telugu comedian "Sexy Siren Satya". "I'm Satya, and you both are?" he asks with a cold and tired tone. "I'm Meenakshi and she's Sahana." Meenu replies before me and I just nod my head. "Please, have a seat, what are you interested into?" Manu offers us. "I'll have a Café latte" Meenu orders him, "And I'll just have a diet coke." I tell him. "Satya?" he calls out to him while he rested his head on the chair lying back. "What do you want to have?" he continues to ask him. "Oh, me? Oh, I've already ordered with my bud and he's out there struggling to bring us our order." he grins an evil grin. "Nothing is more enjoyable than seeing your introverted and socially awkward friend doing favors that include a lot of interaction." he continues and laughs. "You're evil for that, Man…. Poor guy." Manu giggled as he walked to the counter.

"Satya." a low rumbling heavy voice called out from my back. I look back and it's the "Raw mangoes guy". His t-shirt is struggling to contain his biceps, damn. He's absolutely towering over me, why did I have to be so short? Or, why do these guys have to be so tall. I'm 5'4, a decent height, what is he? 5'9 or 5'10? Doesn't matter.

"Took you the time." Satya replies to his call, "I hate you, here's our sandwiches and our drinks." he says as he nods his head and places the tray on the table, completely ignoring us. He sat down between me and Satya and looked at me and Meenu like a deer that got flashed with the headlights of a vehicle on a highway.

"Introduce yourself, pretty boy." Satya orders him as he gobbles up a bite of his sandwich. "No, I met her yesterday." he replies to Satya and turns to me, "You didn't give me your name, I was just wondering if it'd be rude to ask you now." he tells me. Why do I find him cute, I find myself smiling at him. "I'm Sahana, call me Saha." I offer him a handshake and he looks a lot relieved and human now. "I'm Shaurin, you can call me Rin if you don't get the idea of the soap bar." he says while chugging down on his diet coke. Good taste.
