Why is she sitting at our table? Who is this girl with glasses? Why do I have to be a part of this group? No, foremost. When did this happen? The girl who's beautiful, short with dark black hair made of silk, skin of the golden hours, eyes of the meadows, she's sitting next to me and I'm near to exploding.
*he looks completely normal outside canonically*
"So, how did you two meet?" Saha asks me pointing at Satya. Satya almost chokes on his sandwich, "It's better we'll save it for someday later." I reply. "Why is that so?" the girl in glasses asks me. "I'm sorry I haven't asked you, you are?" I ask her to try to deflect her question because it's way too embarrassing to talk about. "I'm Meenu, and you didn't answer my question." she says. Satya chugs on his diet coke and lets out a burp, "We met at the restroom stalls on the day of freshers." he says so casually with a smile.
I don't know if I am flabbergasted or flustered, how can he say something like that so casually. "Why the stalls exactly?" Saha looks at me with a smirk on her face, and I hope I'm not sweating. "Well-" as I say Satya interrupts me, "He helped me achieve peace while holding onto his life." he says with a grin. This fucker. "*Wh*at exactly was the peace?" Meenu asked him. He now clasped his hands, laying his elbows on the table, "We both had to take a shit so badly." and everyone burst into laughter. "What's all the laughter about?" Manu says as he brings a tray of their orders. "Nothing much, just about something that you are." I say and the laughter grows even more.
Saha, her laugh is beautiful. I could look at her laughing all day. I snap out because I know it's just an attraction. Plus, why would she even like me. "Before joining MBA, what were y'all doing?" Manu asks us. "Ohhh I was a CMA student!" Meenu answers him first, "Computer science and business arts." Satya answers him. "I was a BBA student." Saha answers and looks at me with curiosity. "BBA before MBA? Looks like someone's got a headstart here." I told her, "I did Maritime Engineering at NIT Vadodara and Diu." I reply and everyone just stares at me like I'm some kind of animal.
"You do understand you could've gotten a package much higher than what this could offer?" Manu asks me, "Money is never the matter, ambition is. And what I'm trying to do, involves an MBA." I reply. "Rin, I don't know what Maritime Engineering is, what do you do there?" Saha asks me. "Well, we build ships, engines and analyze oceans etc." I replied, "So a shipwright?" Manu asks me and everyone just looks at him like he said something really inappropriate. "I mean, you could put it that way." Satya says to him. "I'm counting on Satya to help me because he knows how computing works and I really need it for the start-up I'm thinking of." I continue. "His idea blew my mind and it'll definitely blow you away too." Satya says as he winks an eye.
I don't know if he's genuinely impressed or if he's genuinely hyping me up. "Oh, count me in as an investor if you ever need me!" Saha bumps her fist into my side. Did she just.? I'm flustered once again. Sahana, please do tell him if you're going to make contact with him, look at that poor child. He's exploding on the inside." Satya makes a joke out of my innocence. "No one would expect a grown handsome man to be innocent, now would they?" Saha says sarcastically. Oh yes Saha, you will find guys like me. "Anyway, you're cute like a kid when you do that." Saha says as she laughs. "Do I? I might be" I tell her while Manu and Satya are looking at me trying to find where Saha could find a kid in my face.
The next lecture Economics and Quantitative methods ended continuing with the later one of Financing and Accounting finally calling it a day after a brief explanation of Operations and Strategy. OS was what I was waiting for. Finally, we get back to the hostel and I take a really, really long nap. In the nap, I thought about Saha, how she's so friendly with me, but I guess she's friendly with everyone and anyone. I shouldn't jump to conclusions. But I really can't help thinking about her, though it's only been a really short 2 days, she's been hitting my mind every now and then.
