🌧️ Scene 1 – Return to the Town

Several weeks had passed since the mysterious contract was signed.

The sky was gray as Kim Hye-yoon drove toward her hometown. She had finally decided to take a short break from work and visit her mother.

"Then I'll learn everything about him."

She picked up her phone.

Her assistant answered immediately.

"Yes, ma'am?"

"Prepare divorce papers and collect every piece of evidence you can find."

"Understood."

"I'm taking a domestic violence case."

🏠 Scene 3 – Building the Case

That evening, Hye-yoon sat in front of a mirror at home.

She carefully applied medicine to her injuries.

Her shoulder was bruised.

Her forehead still hurt.

She stared at her reflection.

Then suddenly an idea came to her.

She opened a folder.

"My injuries can be used as evidence."

She immediately began writing notes.

Every detail mattered.

Every bruise mattered.

She presented medical reports.

Witness statements.

Police records.

Then she placed another file on the desk.

"And evidence of assault against myself."

The courtroom became quiet.

The judge adjusted his glasses.

"You were assaulted?"

"Yes, Your Honor."

She pointed toward the husband.

"While attempting to protect my client."

The husband shifted nervously.

For the first time, his confidence disappeared.

After reviewing the evidence, the judge spoke.

"This court requires further examination."

He struck the gavel.

"The hearing will continue next month."

⚖️ Scene 5 – Final Hearing

One month later.

The courtroom was even more crowded.

Reporters had arrived.

The case had become well-known.

The judge entered once again.

"Final arguments."

Hye-yoon stood.

She looked toward Da-hee.

Then toward the judge.

"Your Honor."

Her voice was calm but powerful.

"For years, my client lived in fear."

She paused.

"Marriage should provide safety."

The courtroom remained silent.

"It should never become a prison."

Several people lowered their eyes.

Even the judge listened carefully.

Hye-yoon continued.

"Today, Da-hee is not asking for revenge."

She looked at Da-hee.

"She's asking for freedom."

The husband's lawyer attempted one final defense.

But the evidence was overwhelming.

The judge reviewed everything.

Minutes felt like hours.

Finally—

He raised the gavel.

⚖️ Scene 6 – Judgment

The judge stood.

"After reviewing all evidence, this court rules in favor of the plaintiff."

Da-hee covered her mouth.

Tears filled her eyes.

The judge continued.

"The marriage is legally dissolved."

The courtroom erupted into whispers.

The husband looked stunned.

"And due to repeated acts of domestic violence and assault, the defendant is sentenced to imprisonment according to the law."

BANG!

The gavel struck.

The case was over.

They had won.

🌧️ Scene 7 – Outside the Court

Rain began falling again.

Da-hee stood outside the courthouse crying.

But this time, they were tears of relief.

She bowed deeply to Hye-yoon.

"Thank you."

Hye-yoon smiled.

"You saved yourself."

But as they spoke—

A strange feeling passed through Hye-yoon.

As if someone was watching.

Far across the street...

A tall man dressed in black stood beneath an umbrella.

His face hidden.

His eyes fixed on Da-hee.

Then he quietly whispered:

"Two years are almost over."

And disappeared into the rain.
