Episode 4: Finally, I Know Him...

🌑 Scene 1 – The End of a Contract

A cold wind blew through the quiet streets.

The clock showed 11:58 PM.

Inside a small apartment, Da-hee sat alone at her dining table.

The divorce was finalized.

Her abusive husband was in prison.

For the first time in years, she was safe.

Yet tonight...

she couldn't stop feeling afraid.

Her hands trembled as she looked toward the door.

She remembered the contract.

The words.

The promise.

"After two years... I'll return to collect what's mine."

A sudden knock echoed through the apartment.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Da-hee froze.

The room became silent.

The knocking came again.

Slow.

Deliberate.

She slowly walked toward the door.

Her heartbeat thundered in her chest.

When she opened it—

A tall man dressed in black stood outside.

Su-ho.

His expression remained calm.

As if he had simply arrived for a casual visit.

Da-hee immediately stepped backward.

"You came..."

Su-ho looked at her quietly.

"Two years have passed."

Tears immediately filled her eyes.

"I thought... maybe you wouldn't come."

Su-ho entered the apartment.

His footsteps echoed softly.

"A contract cannot be broken."

Da-hee's voice shook.

"You saved my life."

"I did."

"Then please..."

She began crying.

"There has to be another way."

For the first time, Su-ho looked away.

A small flicker of emotion crossed his face.

But it vanished quickly.

"No."

Silence filled the room.

Da-hee closed her eyes.

Understanding her fate.

Su-ho raised his hand.

A strange darkness surrounded the room.

The contract appeared briefly in the air.

The final payment was collected.

Moments later—

The room became quiet again.

The contract disappeared.

And so did the debt.

🏢 Scene 2 – Another Normal Day

The next morning at K&J Law Firm looked completely normal.

Employees hurried between offices.

Phones rang constantly.

Coffee machines worked overtime.

Hye-yoon entered carrying several case files.

Inside her office, Su-ho was already working.

His sleeves were rolled up as he reviewed documents.

Hye-yoon placed a file on his desk.

"New case."

Su-ho looked up.

"What kind?"

"Corporate fraud."

He opened the folder.

"Interesting."

She smirked.

"Let's see if you're really as good as everyone says."

A small smile appeared on his face.

"I'll try my best."

For a moment, everything felt ordinary.

Like two coworkers sharing work.

Neither knew how quickly that would change.

☕ Scene 3 – Coffee

Hours passed.

The workload became overwhelming.

Hye-yoon rubbed her temples.

Her eyes hurt from reading endless reports.

Without warning, a cup appeared beside her.

She looked up.

Su-ho stood there holding another cup.

"You looked tired."

Hye-yoon blinked.

"You made coffee?"

"Was that a mistake?"

She laughed.

"No."

Taking a sip, she smiled.

"It's actually good."

Su-ho seemed strangely pleased by the compliment.

Neither of them noticed how natural these moments were becoming.

📞 Scene 4 – The Phone Call

Suddenly Hye-yoon's phone rang.

Unknown number.

She answered immediately.

"Hello?"

A nervous voice replied.

"Is this Kim Hye-yoon?"

"Yes."

The caller hesitated.

Then spoke quietly.

"Do you know someone named Da-hee?"

Hye-yoon immediately sat upright.

"Yes."

A long pause followed.

Then—

"She's dead."

The smile vanished from Hye-yoon's face.

"What?"

The caller sounded frightened.

"We found her this morning."

Hye-yoon's hand tightened around the phone.

"How?"

"We don't know."

Silence.

"It looked like she was sitting at her table... but something felt wrong."

Hye-yoon immediately stood.

"I'm coming."

She grabbed her coat.

Su-ho looked up.

"What happened?"

Her expression was pale.

"Da-hee is dead."

For a brief second—

something flashed across Su-ho's face.

A secret.

A guilt.

Then it disappeared.

"I'll come with you."

🚶 Scene 5 – Questions

After visiting the apartment, Hye-yoon couldn't stop thinking.

Nothing made sense.

No signs of violence.

No clear cause.

Just questions.

As they walked through a quiet street later that evening, she glanced at Su-ho.

"Do you think something strange happened?"

Su-ho remained silent.

"Maybe."

That answer only made her more suspicious.

⚡ Scene 6 – The Attack

Suddenly—

Two masked young men appeared from an alley.

Before either could react, one threw a liquid-filled bottle.

The liquid flew directly toward Hye-yoon.

Everything happened in seconds.

Su-ho stepped in front of her.

The liquid struck him.

Hye-yoon screamed.

"Su-ho!"

She immediately checked him.

Nothing.

No burns.

No pain.

Not even a reaction.

Her confusion grew.

"How are you okay?"

Su-ho remained silent.

Too silent.

🌙 Scene 7 – The Truth

Later that night.

They stood alone on a rooftop overlooking Seoul.

The city lights glittered beneath them.

Hye-yoon crossed her arms.

"I'm not leaving until you explain."

Su-ho sighed.

"You won't believe me."

"Try."

Silence.

Then—

"I'm not human."

Hye-yoon blinked.

"What?"

"I'm serious."

She stared at him.

Waiting for him to laugh.

He didn't.

Su-ho looked toward the city.

"There are things in this world humans don't know."

His voice was calm.

"I am one of them."

At first she thought it was impossible.

Ridiculous.

But then she remembered:

Da-hee's strange death.

The attack.

The acid-like liquid.

His complete lack of injury.

Slowly...

everything began connecting.

❤️ Scene 8 – Something Changes

Neither spoke for several minutes.

The wind blew softly around them.

Finally Hye-yoon looked at him.

Not with fear.

Not with hatred.

Just curiosity.

And something else.

Something warmer.

Su-ho looked surprised.

"You aren't afraid?"

Hye-yoon smiled slightly.

"Should I be?"

For the first time in centuries—

Su-ho didn't know how to answer.

🌑 Final Scene

Far away...

A mysterious woman stood in darkness.

Watching.

Waiting.

A cruel smile appeared on her face.

"So..."

she whispered.

"You're finally getting attached."

Her eyes turned toward Seoul.

Toward Hye-yoon.

Toward Su-ho.

And toward the disaster that was slowly approaching.
