Chapter 4: Hangout

After all the chaos at school, we finally headed home.

"I'm so tired, I don't even want to take exams yet," I complained as I walked home, dragging my feet like a wilted vegetable.

When I got to my apartment, I opened the door and went inside right away. I took off my shoes and changed my clothes. Since I was too lazy to do anything, I just lay down on my bed like I always do.

"Time flies so fast, tomorrow's already Saturday," I mumbled to the air.

Of course, I didn't sleep right away since I had no classes tomorrow, so I scrolled on my phone while eating chips until I got sleepy.

"I'm sleepy. I'll sleep now."

The next morning, I was still asleep because I had no classes, but I woke up early anyway.

"Hmm." I sat up and checked the time.

"It's only 7:00 a.m. and we're supposed to meet at 10:00 a.m. anyway, so I'm still early," I told myself.

I got up right away to clean my apartment because I never get to clean when I have classes. After cleaning, I sat down and scrolled on my phone. While I was on my phone, I suddenly got a message.

"Are you ready yet? It's already 9:00 a.m." Kai's message said.

"Yeah, I'm getting ready. Just wait for me," I replied.

I got ready to leave too because I didn't have much time left. After getting ready, I left right away.

"Where are they now?" I mumbled to myself.

As I was walking down the street, someone suddenly called out to me.

"Kiara!!"

"Huh?" I turned around to see who it was, and saw that it was Kai and Luka.

"Hey! You guys were just there all along!!" I shouted at them.

I immediately walked toward them, and of course I was at the back. I can't ruin the main characters' date, right? Well, to be honest, the only reason I came was not to hang out, but to watch their date, hehe.

"Why are you always at the back, Kiara? Come here to the front before you might get lost," Luka said.

"Wow, you think I'm that dumb?" I answered back.

After I said that, I heard Kai's soft laugh.

"Pfft."

"Stop laughing over there, or I'll shove a rock in your mouth," I said, staring at him while holding a rock.

We're used to this kind of jokes, so no one gets offended or sensitive.

We had fun the whole day. Of course, whenever they're together, I get thrilled. We ate at a café, walked around, bought random stuff, joked around, and did all sorts of things that friends do.

While we were walking, we decided to buy friendship bracelets.

"Luka, Kai, let's buy friendship bracelets?" I asked them.

"Sure, let's go," both of them answered.

When I was about to tie my bracelet, I had a hard time, so I went to Kai and Luka. But just as I was about to speak—

"Kai, tie this for me—"

I saw Kai tying the bracelet onto Luka's wrist. In my eyes, Luka's cheeks flushed as he looked at Kai tying the bracelet on him.

"Ahhhhh!!! My heart can't take this, I can't handle your chemistry anymore!!" I said to myself, my eyes sparkling as I stared at them.

"You look stupid, Kiara," Kai suddenly said.

Of course, his words hurt. It felt like he stabbed me with what he said.

"Well, if I'm stupid, you're even stupider," I shot back.

"This guy ruins the moment," I mumbled quietly to myself.
