Chapter 5: Examination

After our hangout, we went home because it was already afternoon. "Ugh! I'm so tired." I didn't eat dinner anymore since I was already full from all the random snacks we had earlier with Kai and Luka. But of course, I didn't come home empty-handed—I never do. I brought cookies and drinks that I'd sip while trying to fall asleep.

While I was lying face down in my room, my phone suddenly rang. _Ring!... Ring!..._

"Oh no! I forgot to call Robhe!" I panicked to myself because I promised her and I couldn't break that promise.

"Hello Robhe, sorry I wasn't able to call. I went somewhere," I explained.

"It's okay, I was busy too. I was reviewing for the exam," She replied.

"Oh right, how are you?" I asked.

"I'm just stressed from all this reviewing. How about you?"

"I'm fine too. I'll start reviewing tomorrow since it's Sunday anyway. That way I won't forget everything right away," I said.

While we were talking, someone called Robhe.

"Robhe! Come eat!"

"Wait a minute!" Robhe answered her parents.

"Bye for now, Kiara. I'm going to eat. Call me again next time, okay?" Robhe said goodbye.

"Okay, take care always, alright?" And with that, our conversation ended.

"I'm so sleepy," I whispered into the air, feeling the cold surrounding me. The darkness enveloped me.

"When will Mama and Papa visit me again?" I asked myself with a sad expression. I just fell asleep because there was no point in staying up late anyway.

The next morning, I cleaned my apartment because classes were starting soon and I wouldn't have time to clean later. "After this, I'll review right away so at least I'll pass," I told myself with a sigh.

While I was reviewing at my desk, Luka suddenly messaged me.

"Do you know already?" he asked.

"Huh? Know what?" I asked myself, confused.

"What is this person even talking about?"

Confused by his message, I asked him, "Know what?"

"Nothing, never mind," he replied.

"This person is so random. Why not just say it... What is it anyway?" I grumbled to myself. I went back to reviewing so at least my free time would be useful.

"Argh! Now I forgot! Ugh!"

The next day

The moment I stepped into the classroom, I saw my classmates reviewing in every corner.

"Hah, exams," I whispered to the air.

"Hey, review now. You might fail," Kai teased me.

"You're teasing me this early in the morning!"

"How about a bet?" Luka chimed in.

"If our score is higher than yours, then you lose, but if your score is higher that us then you win."

A bet... Right. I'll just make it a dare, hehe~ Of course I thought of something devilish. It's me, after all.

"Forget the bet, let's do a dare instead. Deal?" I said.

"Deal," they both answered.

"I'll send you two to your dating destination" I said to myself while smiling like an idiot.
