Chapter 2 : Cafeteria incident
The hallway was quiet as King walked to his next class. No one had noticed him smile or smirk after the cafeteria incident — not that anyone would’ve dared to look anyway.
When he entered the literature classroom, he found every seat taken… except the one next to her. He slid in quietly. Flora glanced at him, smirked, and turned back to her notes, pretending she wasn’t aware of him.
The teacher began the lesson, discussing poetry and prose, but Flora couldn’t help sneaking glances. King didn’t say a word; his calm, unreadable presence only made her smirk widen. She focused on the teacher, pretending to pay attention, though her mind was already calculating.
Class ended. Students filed out, leaving the two of them alone.
King rose from his seat, but Flora stepped in front of him, blocking the way. She smirked. With a swift motion, she snatched his phone from his hand.
“Unlock it,” she demanded, her voice sharp.
He hesitated only a moment, then obediently unlocked it and handed it over.
Flora’s eyes scanned the messages quickly. Then they landed on a name: Claire.
“Who’s she?” she snapped.
“King… mm…”
He just stared at her .No words came out .
Her patience snapped. With one swift motion, she smashed the phone to the ground.
Without another word, she turned and left, leaving him standing there, calm as ever, yet something dark flickering behind his eyes.
The next day, I rushed to university. Class had already started — English studies.
“Miss Flora, you are late to my class!” the teacher called.
“I can see that, Mr. Richard,” I replied with a smirk, walking to my seat… and finding King already seated right next to me.
I couldn’t resist. I kicked his leg hard and stared at him provocatively before taking my seat.
Class dragged on, and soon it was over. On my way to the cafeteria, I ran into Carlos.
“Hey, Flora,” he said.
I laughed. “Wassup, Carl?”
“Nothing much, just came to meet you. By the way… I won’t be coming to school for a while. Some personal problems.”
“It’s okay, I understand,” I said, giving him a hug. We walked to the cafeteria together.
My eyes scanned the room for King… but he was nowhere to be seen.
Then I felt it — a presence behind me. I turned. King was standing there, expression unreadable as always. It annoyed me to the core.
Suddenly, Carlos nudged me. “Hey, what are you thinking about? Let’s sit here.”
I moved toward him… until a hand gripped mine. I turned, and King’s glare burned into Carlos.
“Why?” I snapped, yanking my hand away. “What the hell is your problem?”
King didn’t answer. He dragged me out of the cafeteria. We were now outside the cafeteria no one was around . He stepped closer, cornering me. His presence was heavy, suffocating.
“You’re mine,” he said quietly, voice low but sharp. “I don’t want to see you with any other man , "Do you understand, flower "?
WTH is your problem!! I talked with gritted teeth .
Suddenly, his hands gripped my throat. I gasped, struggling for air.
“Let go of me!” I cried out.
Then, just as quickly, he released me and stepped back. I froze, shaking, breath uneven. The warning — and his obsession — was crystal clear.
