Episode 3 – The Rudra’s First Attack
The rain had grown even heavier now. The forest leaves rustled violently, as if thousands of footsteps were running through them. Arav and Ananya had entered a cave—a small, damp shelter with walls covered in ancient roots. Outside, Rudra Pratap’s voice echoed as his men searched for them.
Arav stood at the mouth of the cave and looked outside.
“They are very close. We can’t stay here long.”
Ananya held the blue stone fragment in her hand. It had started to grow slightly warm.
“We have to stay,” she said. “This fragment wants to show us something.”
She placed it against the cave wall.
A faint blue light spread. Ancient carvings appeared on the wall—a huge cycle with 108 small symbols. In the center was an empty space, and the blue fragment perfectly fit into it.
A voice echoed from the wall—like an ancient guardian speaking:
“The first fragment is found. The first trial is complete. But the next fragment will test true hearts.”
The light intensified.
A vision appeared on the wall.
An ancient temple. A girl (resembling Ananya) stood there. In front of her was a prince. He hugged her… but suddenly stabbed her in the back.
She fell. Her white saree turned red with blood.
The vision vanished.
Ananya’s eyes filled with tears.
“This… was my first death. That prince betrayed me. He wanted the treasure’s power.”
Arav looked at her.
“And now… that same greed is in Rudra Pratap.”
Ananya nodded.
“Yes. Every 108 years, a greedy man arrives. He tries to claim the treasure. But only true love can obtain it.”
Suddenly Rudra’s voice came from outside:
“I know you’re in there! Come out, or I’ll burn this cave down!”
Arav held Ananya’s hand.
“We should run.”
But Ananya stopped him.
“No. Running won’t help. We must stop him.”
She lifted the blue fragment.
“This gives us power… but only through truth.”
Arav asked,
“What do I do?”
Ananya said softly,
“Touch me. And tell the truth you have never told anyone.”
Arav hesitated, then held her hand. A cold sensation passed through him—but this time it felt peaceful.
“I… I have always been alone. Even after my father died, I never let anyone close to me… because I was afraid they would leave me too.”
“But with you… I’m afraid that if I love you… you will also disappear.”
Tears filled Ananya’s eyes.
“And I… I have waited for love for centuries. Every time I was betrayed. This time… I don’t expect love anymore. I just… don’t want to lose you.”
The blue fragment began glowing intensely.
A hidden door appeared on the cave wall.
Ananya said,
“This is the second path. Towards the temple.”
They stepped through it.
Behind them, Rudra’s voice grew louder.
The new path was a narrow passage hidden under trees. They ran quickly.
Suddenly Rudra and his men appeared in front of them. Rudra held a black locket in his hand—it glowed with dark energy.
“Stop!” Rudra shouted.
Arav stepped in front of Ananya.
“What do you want?”
Rudra laughed.
“The treasure. And the immortality it gives. You two are just obstacles.”
He raised the black locket. A dark mist spread.
Ananya raised the blue fragment. Blue and black lights collided, creating a massive explosion.
Rudra was thrown back. His men ran away in fear.
Rudra stood again, blood on his face.
“This… is not over.”
He escaped.
Arav and Ananya looked at each other.
“We won?” Arav asked.
Ananya shook her head.
“Not yet. This was just the first attack. Rudra will come back stronger.”
They continued forward. The forest was ending. In front of them stood the Kali Mata temple—old, but still strong.
The same symbol was carved on its gate.
Ananya said,
“Now… the second trial begins.”
Arav tightened his grip on her hand.
“We are together.”
They entered the temple.
Inside, it was dark. But Ananya’s locket lit the way.
In the center stood a stone throne. On it lay another glowing blue crystal.
Ananya said,
“This is the second fragment. But to take it… we must speak another truth.”
Arav asked,
“What truth?”
Ananya said softly,
“I must feel my own death’s pain… and you must stop me.”
Arav’s heart raced.
“How… how can I do that?”
Ananya walked toward the throne.
“Just hold my hand… and say you don’t want to lose me.”
Arav held her hand tightly.
Ananya touched the crystal.
A wave of intense pain hit her. She screamed.
Arav held her tightly.
“Ananya! Stop!”
But she said,
“No… this is necessary.”
The crystal glowed. The second fragment appeared in Arav’s hand.
Ananya collapsed.
Arav held her in his arms.
“Ananya…”
In a weak voice, she said,
“I’m… fine. But the third fragment… is still far away.”
Suddenly Rudra’s voice echoed outside the temple:
“I’m here. This time no one will survive!”
Will Ananya recover from this pain?
What new weapon has Rudra brought this time?
And where is the third fragment hidden?
