Episode 5: The Fourth Fragment

Episode 5: The Fourth Fragment

Outside the cave, the rain had started falling again. Not like a normal rain—but heavy, cold, and violent, as if the sky itself was warning them of something terrible about to happen. Each drop hitting the rocks echoed like footsteps of death approaching slowly.

Inside the cave, Arav and Ananya stood close to each other. The entrance behind them was dark, but beyond that darkness, they could feel Rudra Pratap’s presence growing stronger every second.

Arav’s breathing was heavy. He looked at Ananya, who was holding the fourth blue fragment tightly in her hand. It was glowing brighter than the others, as if it was alive.

“Now what?” Arav asked in a low voice.

Ananya didn’t answer immediately. She stared at the fragment, and then slowly said,

“This is not just a fragment. It is a memory seal. The fourth truth of the treasure is hidden inside it.”

Arav frowned.

“Fourth truth? I thought we were collecting pieces of power.”

Ananya shook her head.

“No… we were collecting pieces of my past. Every fragment is connected to one of my deaths… and one truth about the treasure.”

A sudden wind rushed into the cave. The fire-like glow of the fragment flickered.

Outside, Rudra’s voice echoed sharply.

“Arav! Ananya! You cannot hide anymore! The game ends here!”

Arav instinctively stepped in front of Ananya.

“He’s getting closer.”

Ananya closed her eyes for a moment, as if trying to feel something deeper. Then she suddenly opened them.

“There is another passage in this cave.”

Arav looked around.

“Where?”

Ananya walked toward the back wall. She pressed her hand against the cold stone. At first, nothing happened. Then suddenly, a hidden crack appeared, glowing faint blue.

The wall slowly opened, revealing a narrow tunnel going downward.

Arav looked at it.

“This leads where?”

Ananya replied,

“Under the earth… to the memory chamber of the fourth fragment.”

Without wasting time, they stepped inside.

The tunnel was tighter than before. The air was colder. Every step they took echoed like they were walking deeper into another world. The walls were covered with ancient symbols—some of them matching the markings from the temple, the lake, and even the crystal.

Arav noticed something strange.

“These symbols… they’re changing.”

Ananya nodded.

“Yes. Because we are getting closer to the truth.”

After walking for several minutes, the tunnel suddenly opened into a massive underground chamber.

Arav froze.

The place was enormous. It looked like an ancient burial hall, filled with broken pillars, glowing blue veins on the ground, and a stillness that felt older than time itself.

In the center of the chamber stood a stone altar.

And on it—another blue fragment.

But this one was different.

It was not just glowing.

It was pulsing… like a heartbeat.

Ananya stepped forward slowly.

“This is it.”

She reached out and touched it.

The moment her fingers made contact, the entire chamber shook violently.

A deep scream echoed through the walls—not from outside, but from within the chamber itself.

Suddenly, images exploded in both their minds.

Ananya’s fourth death.

But this time it was different.

She was not pushed.

She was betrayed.

A warrior she once trusted stood before her. He handed her the fragment… and then smiled.

“You were never meant to protect the treasure,” he said.

Then darkness.

Ananya collapsed to her knees, holding her head.

Arav rushed to her.

“Ananya!”

She gasped.

“He… he betrayed me. Not for greed… but for fear. He feared the treasure more than death.”

Arav looked at the fragment, now fully in his hand.

“So every fragment is not just power… it’s pain.”

Ananya nodded slowly.

“Yes… and the final fragment will show everything. The origin of Rudra… and the real truth of the 108th love.”

Before Arav could respond, the chamber suddenly turned dark.

The blue glow disappeared.

A heavy silence fell.

Then—

A slow clap echoed in the darkness.

Clap… clap… clap…

Rudra Pratap stepped forward from the shadows.

But this time, he was not alone.

Behind him stood dozens of shadow figures—dark versions of warriors, kings, and souls consumed by greed.

Rudra smiled.

“You finally reached here.”

Arav tightened his grip.

“Enough, Rudra. It ends now.”

Rudra laughed.

“No… it begins now.”

He raised his black locket.

Instantly, the ground cracked open. Dark chains erupted from the floor, wrapping around Arav and Ananya.

Arav tried to move, but the chains tightened.

Ananya struggled.

“These are soul chains!” she shouted. “They feed on fear!”

Rudra walked closer.

“You think love can defeat death? Let me show you the truth.”

The chamber shifted.

Arav was suddenly separated from Ananya again.

A vast illusion world formed around him.

He stood alone in a destroyed city.

Empty streets.

No Ananya.

No light.

Just silence.

His biggest fear.

Loneliness.

Rudra’s voice echoed.

“This is your truth, Arav. You are always alone. You always will be.”

Arav fell to his knees.

“No… this is not real.”

But deep inside… fear started growing.

Meanwhile, Ananya was trapped in another illusion.

She stood in the temple corridor again.

The warrior who once betrayed her appeared.

He smiled softly.

“You always trust too easily, Ananya. That is why you always die.”

Ananya stepped back.

“No… I trusted love.”

The warrior laughed.

“And love is what killed you every time.”

Her fear—betrayal—began swallowing her.

Back in the real chamber, Rudra stood between them, controlling both illusions.

“This is my strongest attack,” he said. “Not death… but truth.”

“Because truth breaks even love.”

Inside Arav’s illusion, everything became darker.

Voices whispered.

“You are alone…”

“No one stays…”

“She will leave you…”

Arav closed his eyes tightly.

“No!”

He suddenly remembered Ananya’s voice.

“We are together.”

A spark ignited inside him.

He stood up.

“No matter what you show me… I am not alone.”

The illusion shook.

Back in Ananya’s world, she fell to her knees.

The warrior extended his hand.

“Accept it. You will always be betrayed.”

Ananya looked at him… then slowly smiled.

“No.”

The illusion paused.

“I was betrayed in my past lives… but this time, I chose love.”

She clenched her fist.

“And love does not fear betrayal.”

A bright blue light erupted.

Both illusions began collapsing.

Rudra’s face twisted in anger.

“Impossible!”

The chains in the real world shattered.

Arav and Ananya both returned to reality.

They stood together again.

Holding hands.

Breathing heavily.

The fourth fragment floated between them.

Ananya picked it up.

“It’s complete now.”

Rudra stepped back slightly.

“You think this is victory?”

Arav said firmly.

“Yes. Because we are not afraid anymore.”

Rudra’s expression darkened.

“You have seen only fragments of truth… but not the full truth of the treasure.”

He raised his locket again.

“This is not over. The final fragment will decide everything.”

Suddenly, he vanished.

The chamber began collapsing.

Arav grabbed Ananya’s hand.

“We need to go!”

They ran through the tunnel as the underground chamber crumbled behind them.

They burst out of the cave into the rain-soaked forest.

Breathing heavily.

Soaked.

Alive.

Arav looked at Ananya.

“We survived…”

Ananya nodded.

“But the hardest part is still ahead.”

Arav looked at the four fragments glowing together in his hand.

“What is the final truth?”

Ananya looked toward the dark horizon.

“The origin of Rudra… and the 108th love.”

A distant thunder roared.

Somewhere far away, a dark laugh echoed again.

Not loud.

Not close.

But certain.

Rudra was still waiting.

And the final game had just begun.
