FOREST HUNT

The next day, as James was on his locker with David packing his bag after the last class,

David turned to James with a excited grin. "I'm so stoked for our project, a tour of the caves

of Dura museum next month! I've been researching and I found some amazing formations

we can showcase." James nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah, I've been working on the route

we can take. I think we should start at the entrance and make our way through the

limestone tunnels." David's eyes widened. "Sounds great! And we can highlight the unique

rock structures and underground waterways." Just then, Martha, approached them. "Hey

guys, what's going on? You look like you're planning something exciting." David filled her in.

"We're working on a project to create a tour of the caves." Martha's face lit up. "That sounds

amazing! Can I join in? I love caves and I've been wanting to explore them more." James

smiled. "Of course! The more the merrier. We could use someone with your enthusiasm."

Martha nodded eagerly. "Awesome! What can I do to help?” David thought for a moment.

"Well, we've got the history and legends surrounding the cave route and formations

covered. Maybe you can research some of the route and formations?” Martha’s eyes

sparkled. "Sounds perfect! I'll get started right away I think I can go." “its OK, James, I forgot

my book in class, let me go get it."

Said David .As they parted ways leaving James on the locker, James felt a sense of

excitement and anticipation for their project. With Martha on board, he knew they were

going to create something truly special. David went to class, but the bullies were waiting for

him and James, as soon as, he came back running, telling James to run, but was confused.

“Why?” James asks himself, then he saw the bullies running towards him, and he ran in to

the nearby forest at school.

In the forest, the bullies, Jake, Max, Alex, Emily tommy and Sam were on a mission to find

James, determined to teach him a lesson for avoiding them. Alex and Emily trailed behind,

uneasy about the situation. "I know he's around here somewhere," Jake said, his eyes

scanning the trees. "Let's find him and show him who's boss." Max snickered. "Yeah, he

thinks he's so smart, always trying to hide from us." Sam nodded in agreement. "I saw him

heading into this direction earlier. He can't escape us that easily." Alex spoke up, concern

etched on his face. "Guys, I don't think this is a good idea. Let's just leave him alone." Emily

echoed Alex's sentiments. "Yeah, come on. Can't we just forget about it?" But Jake was

resolute. "No way. He needs to learn to respect us." As they walked deeper into the forest,

the rustling of leaves caught their attention. Max whispered, "Shh, quiet. Do you hear that?"

Sam's eyes lit up. "Sounds like someone's walking through the bushes." Alex's voice was

laced with worry. "Oh no, it's him. Let's just leave him alone, please." But it was too late.

Tommy got out James from the bush, his eyes wide with fear. Jake sneered. "Ah, perfect.

Well, well, well. Look what we have here." But what

they didn't know that there was a passerby in the forest who sees them and hides behind a

tree, to watch whats happening. The group closed in on James, their intentions clear. Alex

and Emily exchanged a nervous glance, hoping to intervene before things escalated further.

But Jake, Max, Tommy and Sam were relentless, determined to teach James a lesson he will

never forget.

Ms. Lisa pulled up to the park, expecting to see her son James waiting for her. But as she

scanned the playground, she didn't see his familiar smile or messy hair. She checked her

watch, thinking maybe he was too early, but she was right on time. As she began to worry,

she spotted David, picking up James bag from the ground and he had James phone. Lisa

walked over to him, trying to sound calm. "Hey David, have you seen James? Im here to

take him home." David looked up,

slightly startled. "Oooh no, hhhhi Ms. Lisa! Yeah, hhhehe has gone hmmm". The bullies held

James on the ground, and Max pulled out a knife. “what are you going to do Max?” Alex and

Emily asked "Let's put a marker on his stomach so that when he goes to shower, he looks at

it." Max said . As they were doing this, the passerby was still watching from behind the tree.

But when Jake was moving his eyes round, made an eye contact with him, “wait, there is a

person watching us lets get out of here.” they ran back to school, leaving James behind in

the forest. James was left on the ground, with a cut on his stomach in a lot of pain, as he

laid down there with out the painkillers, his body started to change in appearance, his

muscles expanding. James sees a strange thing happening on him then he faints and the

cut disappears. Meanwhile, at school, Ms. Lisa saw

the bullies running from the forest and she stopped questioning David, She went to the

forest calling James. In the forest, the passerby comes to have a close look on this boy

questioning himself, “how can that happen, where has the cut gone no scar?” As he was

near reaching James he heard some someone calling James name and he ran back to his

hiding place then Lisa found James on the ground with torn clothes. "What happened to

you, James?" she asked, but James was still unconscious. Ms. Abigail took James back

home, the passerby remained in the forest, trying to make sense of what he had just seen.

“The boys body changed, and the cut on his stomach disappeared. As if he has some kind

of special power” the passerby wonders. He knew he had to keep this a secret, but he was

determined to find out more about James and his mysterious abilities.

As soon as James walked out of the car to the front door of the house, “now tell me what

happened” Lisa talked to James with a angry face. Doctor William comes and interrupts “is

there anything wrong?” he asked, “I found James in forest lying on the ground with torn

clothes” Lisa answered Doctor William. "Hey, sweetie, what happened?" Doctor William

asked, his voice firm but concerned. James hesitated, looking down and lies about the

bullies. "I'm fine. I just got hit by a low-hanging branch while running. Doctor William raised

an eyebrow. "A branch? That must have hurt. And what's with your clothes? They look like

you involved in a fight." James quickly came up with an excuse.

"Oh, yeah! I changed size or something I don’t know how to explain it." His parents

exchanged a skeptical glance. "Changed size!!?" his mom repeated. "James, that's not

possible. You're just shaken up from the fall, that's all." James insisted, "No, I'm telling you,

my body feels different! And my clothes are all loose now."

Doctor William firmly said, "James, we don't believe you. You're not telling us the truth.

What really happened in those woods?" James looked defensive. "I am telling the truth! You

never believe me!" Lisa tried to calm him down. "James, we're just worried about you. If

something happened, we want to help, you get cleaned up , We'll talk about this later,

okay?” But James just shook his head, still insisting on his wild story. His parents knew he

was hiding something, but they had no idea what.

James walked into school the next day, a determined look on his face. He was ready to take

on the bullies one by one. But as he looked the hallways, he realized they were nowhere to

be found. He spotted David in the cafeteria and sat down next to him. "Hey, man, I've got a

plan to take down those bullies." David looked up from his phone. "What kind of plan?"

James leaned in, a mischievous grin spreading across his face. "Let's get one by one, any

we find alone faces it in a corner lock him in the toilet, burn their books and do everything

we want to them." David's

expression turned skeptical. "James, I don't think that's a good idea. You're just going to get

yourself into more trouble." James' grin faltered. "What do you mean? You're my friend,

aren't you supposed to support me?" David sighed. "Of course, I'm am

, but I also know when something is a bad idea. You can't just take on a group of bullies by

ourselves. It's not worth it." James's motivation began to wane. Maybe David was right.

Maybe he was just being stupid. The rest of the week, the bullies didn't show up to school,

and James's plan was forgotten. He began to wonder if they had transferred schools or

something.

As he walked home from school on Friday, James realized he was actually relieved the

bullies hadn't shown up. Maybe he didn't need revenge after all. Maybe he just needed to

move on.
