MY FIRST HEARTBREAK

I can't believe what I just heard during the lunch. Did Adrian actually get Kiera pregnant. No, no. It can't be. If he did why was he acting so surprised.

"If anyone knew Kiera was going to pull off that show, nobody would have ever thought of coming, not even me. She ruined everything!" Lily screamed.

"But what if it's true? What if they actually did it and he got her pregnant without even knowing? " I was confused. But Lily laughed so hard and mocked me. That made me angry.

"What's funny?!"

"You really don't know this girl baby. She was just jealous. I mean, it may have been true, but ..." she stopped when she saw the look on my face.

"I didn't mean that. It's obviously not true. Girl, what's the face for?! It's not even true."

" Maybe. Maybe not. I just feel so heartbroken. Cause Adrian didn't even deny it. " I murmured.

" Aww. My baby is sad. You're disappointing me girl. If you like him then f*cking go for it girl. Stop acting all cry baby and shit. It's pissing me off. " she hissed.

She was right in a way. I've never seen them together, not even in secret. So what if she was just making up a show? I really hope she was.

And... I think we're missing out on something...

Adrian is actually going to Ravenhold academy as me. So Lily wasn't lying! Oh my God. But why would a sexy looking guy like him want to go to a school like that? It doesn't seem normal.

Well, I'm going there too, and from what I heard today, I really hope it's a lie. But if it's not, then I hope I never get to set my eyes on him.

Lily dropped me at my house and headed back to hers. She couldn't spend some time at my house cause her boyfriend was waiting for her and she had to answer him.

I quickly went to my room after I greeted my dad. But he didn't allow me to go upstairs until he told me what he wanted to tell me.

"I bought the form for you to fill. the exam is on Friday. Be prepared." he said briefly.

" Umm.... sorry if I'm asking weird questions but what exactly is the exam all about?"

" That's not a really weird question to ask though. As I said, you're not going to a normal school. It's different from the other schools you know about."

" You didn't tell me about that, dad." I was very confused now.

" I thought I told you about it. The exam is more like a strength test. This world is not the way you think. It's not roses and hot girls and boys. There are hidden secrets here in this world and you could have known about, but some things happened that changed a lot of things."

" Dad, you're speaking in parables right now. Can you please be clear?" I was getting upset.

He stared at me like I was a big mistake coming into this world, then he shook his head. It really broke my heart when I saw his stare but, well, that's how he is.

"The exam you're going for on Friday is a strength test. They will test how strong and capable you are at both defending yourself, and avoiding hits that could kill you."

" Kill! Dad! What the f*ck?! am I going to school to learn how to fight? Is that what the school is all about?!" I was losing my mind then.

" It's complicated, Sera. With time you'll know more. But for now, just focus on passing the test. I'll teach you the basic skills you can use, so we start practice tomorrow. By 6am."

" Oh my Goodness. Dad, can you please explain what's going on? Please?" I begged.

" Like I said, with time. And don't forget to come around by six. You can go to your room now."

he was so calm and it was freaking me out. The news about Kiera being pregnant for Adrian wasn't even on my mind now. What confused me the most was what my dad kept bluffing about. I'm really tired now. Maybe this is an illusion and I'll wake up from it. But, will Adrian also fight there too? Why would he even want to go to that kind of school? People are really weird.

I went to my room, dropped the paper on my table beside my bed and went to lie down to rest from everything. Two hours later, I woke up. Immediately I woke up, I gasped in horror as I looked beside my bed and saw the paper my dad gave me earlier.

'It wasn't an illusion at all.' my mind kept racing and all I could do was state at the paper.

"No, no, no. but why?" I cried silently.

I immediately picked up my phone to call Lily. she must have been through with seeing her boyfriend already.

Her phone rang and few minutes later, she picked the call.

"Do you miss me this much?" she shouted over the phone.

" Nah. Not at all. But something happened."

" Can't it wait, please. I was sleeping. God" she said.

" Okay. But the school I'm entering is like a fighting academy. The exam is a strength test stuff where you show your best skills in defending yourself, and my dad was pretty serious about it. Plus he said that training starts tomorrow!" I screamed.

There was a short pause.

"Lily?" I called.

"Girl? What were you saying again? I didn't quite hear you." she said sleepily.

" Lily, this is serious!" I cried.

"I know. But how can I think properly when sleep keeps knocking. Plus you know your dad never jokes with anything."

" So you actually heard what I said." I said in a low tone.

" I'll call you back in a few hours time baby. I really need to sleep right now, okay?" she said, sleep still in her eyes.

" Don't keep me waiting." I said.

"I love you." she said and blew me a kiss. Then I hung up.

I sighed and laid back on my bed, and groaned loudly. I honestly thought it was all an illusion in the first place.

I just went over to my Instagram because there was literally no one to talk to on WhatsApp. My WhatsApp is really dry. It's like the most boring app I have on my phone. I mostly use Instagram and Lily knows that.

While I was scrolling through Instagram though, I saw a new message on my inbox. I went there after a few scrolls to check who had messaged me.

'Hey Sera Lee. It's Adrian. What's up?'

'Just wanted to check up on you to see how you're doing.'

"What the f*ck!!!"
