Noticed a black bike parked on the side of the road.

Standing beside it was Gwan Shik.

But he wasn't alone.

Two beautiful girls were standing next to him, laughing and talking as if they were very close.

For a moment...

I couldn't move.

Something inside me hurt, even though I had no right to feel that way.

I didn't even know him.

Then why did my heart feel so heavy?

A few moments later, both girls sat behind him on the bike.

Without looking back, Gwan Shik started the engine and rode away.

I stood there silently, watching until they disappeared from my sight.

The entire way home, only one question kept repeating in my mind.

Who were those girls?

The next morning, I made a promise to myself.

For the next two days, I avoided looking at him.

Whenever he passed by, I looked away.

Whenever someone mentioned his name, I stayed silent.

I convinced myself that he was just another student.

Then came 5th September—Teachers' Day.

Our classes ended early, and Rita excitedly suggested,

"Let's go to the park! Everyone is coming."

All of us agreed.

I got ready without knowing that fate had already planned something for me.

Rita arrived with her boyfriend.

I had met him only once before.

His voice was calm.

Without saying anything, I simply handed him my helmet.

He smiled politely.

"Thank you."

That was it.

Our very first conversation...

Only a few words.

Yet somehow...

It became one of the most unforgettable moments of my life.

After some time, Gwan Shik left the park.

Later, when we were returning home, I saw him once again on the road.

For a brief second, our eyes met.

Neither of us knew what the other was thinking.

We simply continued on our separate paths.

The next day...

Rita came running toward me with an unusual smile.

She looked at me and said softly,

"Min Hui... my boyfriend asked me something yesterday."

I looked at her curiously.

"What is it?"

She smiled even wider.

"He said... Gwan Shik likes you."

For a moment...

I couldn't believe what I had just heard.
