Bomi's POV 🌸
Inside the elevator, Bomi stood completely still.
Then, slowly, she touched her face.
Her hands.
Her legs.
She checked herself from head to toe.
“Thank God! I'm still alive.”
She let out a huge sigh of relief.
My luck… that driver didn't even scold me.
Then her expression suddenly changed.
Stupid driver! He should have parked his car properly instead of driving straight toward me!
She shook her head.
My first day hasn't even started, and I've already almost become a road accident victim.
Bomi sighed dramatically.
In the beginning itself, an accident… Haaah!
She looked up at the elevator ceiling.
“Please, God… I really, really want this job.”
Her face suddenly became serious.
If I don't get a job by the end of this month, Daddy will definitely tell me to pack my bags and come back home.
Bomi shuddered.
No! I can't go back home like that! I have to get this job!
Ding!
The elevator doors opened.
Bomi immediately stepped out.
And then—
THUD!
“Aaaaaahhhh! Mooooommmmyyy!”
Bomi crashed straight into someone.
She stumbled backward, clutching her files tightly.
“I'm sorry,” a deep voice said. “I didn't see you.”
Bomi looked up.
Her eyes narrowed.
“If you close your eyes and walk, of course this will happen!”
The man stared at her.
“What?!”
Bomi placed her hands on her hips.
“You've grown so big, but you can't even see what's in front of you?!”
The man looked completely speechless.
Bomi continued glaring at him.
Who is this man? Where did he hide all these years?
Her eyes slowly traveled over him.
Wait…
She blinked.
How handsome is he?!
The man was wearing a perfectly fitted black suit. His tall figure, sharp features, and confident appearance immediately caught her attention.
Bomi's angry expression almost disappeared.
Wow… He's really attractive.
But then—
No! Focus, Bomi!
She quickly returned to her angry face.
The man was still looking at her.
“I'm sorry. I really didn't see you.”
Then he added casually—
“You're just… too small.”
Bomi's eyes widened.
Too small?!
Her jaw dropped.
“How dare you say that about me?!”
She immediately started arguing with him again.
Meanwhile, the man simply stared at her.
This girl…
He seemed to be wondering where this tiny girl's endless confidence came from.
Just then—
“Bomi?!”
Hae's voice came from behind them.
She stopped dead in her tracks.
Her eyes nearly popped out of her head.
What the hell is she doing?!
Bomi turned toward her.
“Baby! Look at this man!”
She pointed accusingly at the tall man.
“He bumped into me and now he's saying I'm small!”
Hae's face instantly went pale.
She looked at the man.
Then at Bomi.
Then back at the man.
“Oh my God…”
Hae immediately bowed.
“I'm extremely sorry, sir! This is my friend. She didn't mean to scold you. Please forgive her… for my sake, sir.”
Bomi stared at Hae.
What?!
“Hey! Why are you saying sorry?!”
She looked completely confused.
I don't understand! Why does she need to apologize? And why is she calling him 'sir'?!
Hae quickly turned toward her.
“Shut your mouth, you idiot!”
Bomi's eyes widened.
“Hey!”
The man looked at Hae and smiled slightly.
“Okay, Hae. I'll forgive her because of you.”
Hae immediately smiled.
“Thank you so much, sir!”
She grabbed Bomi's arm.
“Come on, idiot. You first come with me.”
Bomi allowed herself to be dragged away, but she couldn't help looking back.
That tree-top!
She glared at the tall man.
Why is he so tall?!
The man walked toward the elevator.
But suddenly—
He stopped.
Bomi's eyes followed him.
Why did he stop?
To her surprise, he turned around and walked back toward them.
Bomi looked at Hae.
Hae looked at Bomi.
The man stopped right in front of them.
Then he looked directly at Bomi.
“Girls should be kind and soft-hearted…”
He paused.
Bomi waited.
“…but not like Annabelle.”
Bomi's eyes widened.
“Aaaaaaah! You—!”
Before she could finish, Hae quickly grabbed her.
“Bomi!”
The man laughed loudly.
“Hae, your friend seems to be under a lot of tension. Make sure you give her some BP tablets.”
And with that, he laughed again and walked away.
Bomi's mouth fell open.
“Did he just—?!”
She struggled against Hae's grip.
“Leave me! I want to beat him!”
Hae tightened her hold.
“I'll slap you first! Come to my cabin. Now!”
“But Hae!”
“No!”
“But he called me Annabelle!”
“Walk!”
Bomi finally gave up.
She followed Hae silently, her face filled with anger.
But deep inside…
She couldn't stop thinking about the handsome man in the black suit.
Who is he?
She glanced back one last time.
He was already gone.
Bomi frowned.
And why is everyone calling him 'sir'?
She had no idea…
That the man she had just fought with was someone she would soon see again.
And again.
And again.
Perhaps…
More than she could ever imagine. 💕✨
...****************...
Chul hurried toward the meeting hall, already knowing that everyone had been waiting for him.
The moment he opened the door, all eyes turned toward him.
"Sorry, guys..." Chul said, slightly out of breath. "I'm a little late today."
The client smiled politely and gestured toward the empty chair.
"It's okay, Mr. Chul. Please, have your seat."
"Okay."
Chul walked over and casually took his seat beside In Su.
The moment he settled down, In Su leaned slightly toward him and whispered,
"Where did you go???"
Chul glanced at him with a mysterious smile.
"Secret..." he whispered back.
Then, after a tiny pause, he added,
"My brother."
In Su stared at him.
For a few seconds, he simply looked at Chul with the most suspicious expression possible.
What kind of answer is that?
Chul, however, acted as though nothing unusual had happened.
In Su narrowed his eyes.
"You're weird."
Chul just smiled innocently.
Before In Su could question him further, the team leader cleared his throat.
"Can we start now, sir?"
Chul immediately straightened himself.
"Yeah, sure."
And just like that, the meeting began.
Everyone turned their attention toward the presentation. The client listened carefully. The team leader explained everything in detail, while the others took notes and discussed the important points.
Everyone was completely focused on the meeting.
Everyone...
Except Chul.
For some strange reason, Chul seemed to be somewhere else entirely.
He sat quietly in his chair, staring ahead with a dreamy expression on his face.
Then suddenly...
A small smile appeared on his lips.
"Hehehe..."
A quiet giggle escaped him.
In Su, who was sitting right beside him, immediately noticed.
He slowly turned his eyes toward Chul.
Chul was still smiling.
What the hell is he thinking about?
In Su raised one eyebrow.
Chul suddenly covered his mouth, trying to hide another giggle.
In Su stared at him.
Then he looked toward the others.
Nobody seemed to have noticed.
Slowly, In Su turned back to Chul.
Chul was still in his own little world, looking ridiculously happy for absolutely no reason.
In Su's lips twitched.
He wanted to ask.
He really wanted to ask.
But instead...
He simply turned back toward the meeting and pretended he hadn't seen anything.
Fine.
Whatever secret he's hiding... I'll let him keep it.
A few seconds later, In Su secretly glanced at him again.
Chul was smiling to himself.
In Su couldn't help but smile too.
He quickly turned away before anyone could notice.
This guy...
Whatever had happened before Chul came to the meeting, it had clearly put him in an unusually good mood.
And judging by that stupid little smile on his face...
It was definitely something interesting.
In Su leaned back in his chair, pretending to be completely focused on the meeting.
But secretly...
He was now more curious about Chul's "secret" than the actual business discussion happening in front of him.
