Episode 5 — The Secret Inside Pari

The black smoke moved closer.

Nina raised her hand.

A bright wall of light appeared between the group and the dark force.

“Everyone, stay behind me!”

Pari stepped back.

Lina grabbed her arm.

“Don't worry. Your sister knows what she's doing.”

Pari looked at Lina.

“You're not scared?”

Lina looked at the black smoke.

She was clearly terrified.

But she smiled.

“Of course I am.”

“Then why are you smiling?”

“Because if I start screaming, I'll look embarrassing.”

Pari laughed despite herself.

Nina glanced at them.

“Can you two stop joking for five seconds?”

Lina looked at her.

“See? This is why I call you the real villain.”

Nina rolled her eyes.

Suddenly, the dark smoke attacked.

BOOM!

Nina's magical shield cracked.

“Lina, take Pari and run!”

Lina immediately shook her head.

“No.”

Nina looked at her.

“What?”

“I said no.”

“This isn't the time to argue!”

“I'm not leaving you.”

Nina stared at her.

“Lina, you're human!”

“And you're my friend.”

Lina stood beside her.

“So if you're staying, I'm staying.”

Nina's eyes softened.

“You really are a stubborn villain.”

Lina smiled.

“Your stubborn villain.”

Another attack hit the shield.

Nina fell to one knee.

“NIИA!”

Pari rushed toward her.

“Stay back!” Nina shouted.

But Pari couldn't.

Something inside her had started waking up.

Her eyes began glowing blue.

The dark smoke suddenly stopped.

The creature behind it stepped forward.

“The power has awakened.”

Nina froze.

“Pari... don't listen to it.”

The creature looked directly at Pari.

“You don't remember who you are, do you?”

Pari slowly shook her head.

“No.”

The creature smiled.

“Then let me remind you.”

A strange image appeared in the air.

Pari saw Paristan.

The magical forests.

The shining palace.

And herself standing beside Nina.

But then she saw something else.

A huge door.

Behind that door was a bright blue light.

The creature whispered,

“That power belongs to you.”

Pari stared at the vision.

“What power?”

Nina immediately stepped between them.

“Enough!”

The vision disappeared.

Nina attacked the creature with a burst of light.

It vanished into the darkness.

But its voice remained.

“You cannot hide her forever, Nina.”

Then everything became quiet.

Pari looked at Nina.

“What was that?”

Nina didn't answer.

“Tell me!”

“Pari—”

“You promised you'd tell me everything.”

Nina lowered her eyes.

Lina looked between the sisters.

She knew this was something Nina had been hiding.

Pari's voice became softer.

“Please.”

Nina finally looked at her.

“Your magic isn't ordinary.”

Pari waited.

“When you were born, the elders of Paristan discovered that you had a rare kind of magic.”

“What kind?”

Nina took a breath.

“The magic of the Star Fairy.”

Pari stared at her.

“The Star Fairy?”

Nina nodded.

“Your magic can open the ancient gateway between worlds.”

Pari's eyes widened.

“So that's why they want me.”

“Yes.”

“Because I can open the door?”

Nina nodded.

“But there's something else.”

“What?”

Nina became silent.

Lina stepped closer.

“Nina...”

Nina looked at her.

Lina gave her a warning look.

“You should tell her.”

Nina sighed.

“Your magic can do more than open the gateway.”

Pari waited.

“It can also destroy the dark power.”

Pari's eyes widened.

“Then why are you afraid?”

Nina looked at her sadly.

“Because if you use all of your magic before you remember how to control it...”

She stopped.

Pari whispered,

“What will happen?”

Nina looked away.

“You could lose yourself.”

Pari became silent.

Lina immediately moved closer to her.

“Hey.”

Pari looked at her.

“You don't have to figure everything out today.”

Pari gave her a small smile.

“Thank you.”

Lina smiled.

“That's what your favorite villain is here for.”

Pari laughed.

Nina shook her head.

“You two are getting along too well.”

“Jealous?” Lina teased.

“Never.”

Suddenly, Arin spoke.

“You should be.”

Everyone turned toward him.

Nina narrowed her eyes.

“Why?”

Arin looked toward the place where the dark creature had disappeared.

“Because that thing wasn't alone.”

Nina's face changed.

“What do you mean?”

Arin looked at Pari.

“There are more of them.”

Lina's smile disappeared.

“How many?”

Arin answered quietly.

“Enough to destroy this entire city.”

Nina looked at him suspiciously.

“How do you know?”

Arin didn't answer.

“Arin.”

He looked at Nina.

“You're asking the wrong question.”

“Then what's the right one?”

Arin's eyes moved toward Pari.

“The right question is...”

He paused.

“Who sent them here?”

Everyone became silent.

Pari suddenly felt a sharp pain in her head.

She closed her eyes.

Another memory appeared.

Nina was crying.

Pari was standing in front of a giant magical door.

And someone was saying:

“Never open the door, Pari.”

Pari opened her eyes.

“Nina...”

“Yes?”

“I remember something.”

Nina rushed toward her.

“What?”

Pari looked terrified.

“Someone told me never to open a door.”

Nina's face went pale.

“Which door?”

Pari looked toward the sky.

“I don't know.”

Then a deep sound echoed through the air.

A crack of blue light appeared in the sky.

Nina stared at it.

Her voice trembled.

“The gateway...”

Lina looked up.

“What's happening?”

Nina grabbed Pari's hand.

“We have to leave.”

“Why?”

“Because Paristan is opening the door for us.”

Pari looked at the glowing crack.

And somewhere beyond it...

Something was waiting.
