Scene 1 — A House Filled with Laughter
It had been two months since Jeni and Jezz started spending time together again.
The mansion that once echoed with loneliness now bloomed with joy.
Every morning, Jenifer would burst into their room, her tiny footsteps echoing on the marble floor.
Jenifer (cheerful): “Good morning, Mommy! Good morning, Daddy!”
Jeni would laugh, pulling her into a hug, while Jezz kissed her forehead and teased,
Jezz: “Our little alarm clock never fails.”
Breakfasts were full of giggles, spilled juice, and soft glances between two people rediscovering what they once lost.
Jezz now works from home more often. Between business calls, he’d watch Jeni sketch designs for her dream — a small art café near the park.
A place filled with colors, music, and the smell of coffee.
Jeni (smiling): “I wanted this years ago. But life… had other plans.”
Jezz (looking at her lovingly): “Then let’s change the plan.”
For a while, it truly felt like everything broken had finally started to heal.
Scene 2 — The Unwanted Guest
It was a calm evening.
Jeni was in the kitchen baking cookies with Jenifer, laughter spilling into the hall, when the doorbell rang.
Jezz opened the door — and froze.
Mrs. Adeline stood there. Her face looked older, weaker, but her eyes — still sharp as glass.
Mrs. Adeline (softly): “Jezz, I’ve come to say sorry. I want to be part of the family again.”
Jezz’s jaw tightened. Memories flashed — Jeni’s tears, his mother’s harsh words, the night everything fell apart.
Jezz (coldly): “It’s too late for apologies.”
But Jeni, ever gentle, stepped forward, wiping her hands on her apron.
Jeni (calmly): “If she wants to change, we should give her a chance.”
Jezz turned to her in disbelief.
Jezz: “You’re too forgiving, Jeni.”
Jeni (smiling sadly): “Maybe. But that’s how love survives.”
Mrs. Adeline forced a smile.
Mrs. Adeline: “Thank you, dear. You’ve always had a good heart.”
But her eyes glimmered — not with guilt, but with calculation.
Scene 3 — The Hidden Plan
Late that night, the mansion was asleep.
Moonlight fell through the tall windows as Mrs. Adeline quietly stepped into the study. She picked up the landline, dialing a familiar number.
The call connected.
Mrs. Adeline (whispering): “Jacob, everything is going as we planned. She trusts me again. Soon, she’ll leave him — this time forever.”
There was silence. Then came Jacob’s voice — tired, emotional.
Jacob: “I’m not doing this for you. I’m doing this for her. Jezz doesn’t deserve her.”
Mrs. Adeline (smirking): “Just remember your part. Remind her of all the pain he caused. She’ll come to you for comfort.”
A pause.
Jacob (quietly): “And if she breaks again?”
Mrs. Adeline (coldly): “Then she’ll have no one left but you.”
The line disconnected.
Mrs. Adeline leaned back in the chair, her smile faint but victorious.
Mrs. Adeline (to herself): “No one takes my son away from me — not even love.”
Scene 4 — The Calm Before the Storm
The next morning, Jeni walked into the living room, humming softly.
Mrs. Adeline was already there, arranging flowers.
Mrs. Adeline (sweetly): “Good morning, dear. You look tired. Is Jezz still making you worry?”
Jeni (smiling politely): “No, he’s been wonderful lately.”
Mrs. Adeline (frowning slightly): “Hmm. Wonderful men can change overnight.”
Jeni looked confused, but before she could reply, Jenifer came running in with a drawing of all three of them together.
Jenifer: “Grandma, see! We’re a happy family!”
Mrs. Adeline smiled — but something dark flickered in her eyes.
She patted Jenifer’s head and whispered,
“Families change, darling. Sometimes, even love fades.”
