Episode 2

Liz POV

Since I sat beside him, I didn’t look at him. Time is so slow, I wanted to finish my shift as soon as possible. I feel bad to my coworkers, they are working hard right now while I’m just sitting here doing nothing and will get paid.

“So what’s your name?” The guy asked.

I keep my poker faced and said “Liz.”

He came close towards me. “Nice name. It suits you. I’m Rain. So how old are you? You look young. Call me, Oppa.” He said and keep staring at me.

“I’m 25.” I lied while staring at my nails.

“You’re lying. You look like you’re 18.”

“So as a older person. Please call me Noona. And I have family already so quit hitting on me.” I lied.

He laughed on my statement. “Eh... stop saying lies. That trick never works for me. You got my attention.”

“I never ask for your attention.”

He keep laughing on my statement. “Guess what? If I want something, I’ll get it.”

I look at him with disgust. “I’m not a thing.”

“Anything. I’ll get anything I want. Either a thing or a person.”

I laughed and sarcastically said to him. “That’s the funniest joke I ever heard.”

To be honest, I know money can buy everything. They can control a person but they cannot control their mind and heart. I got scared at the same time, I don’t want my life to change. There is no humour on his face while saying those words.

I hate a person like him. He thinks he can have everything he wants using money. He didn’t ever work hard to earn those money but he’s using it to do anything to get what he wants.

He can buy something with just one click even tho he didn’t need it that much. He’s one of the impulsive buyers and spoiled person.

He thinks he can control everything like what he did right now. He made a scene just to get me stay beside him. He didn’t respect the workers.

I didn’t expect that he’ll buy my lies. I know he’s smart enough to know the truth and lies. He went to private schools and his parents train him at early age to handle their business. His parents taught him to read people which is needed in their business. They should know who they should trust in a world of business. His parents, not him, are rich. His parents work hard for him not him so he’s not rich. Maybe someday.

“I want you. Wait. No, I like you. You’re different from other girls who want my attention. They will throw themselves so that they can get my attention. And here I am, I made a scene just to get to sit beside me.” He said and pat my head.

I got nervous on his move but I did not show any emotion to him. I won’t let him know that I am affected on his words and actions. I feel like there are only two of us right now. I cannot hear the crowds because of his presence.

He put his hand on my waist and stare at him. My eyes went to my coworker at his back who gives me a signal that I am already off. The party will go on without me. I need to go to my part time tomorrow morning in fast food since I do not have a class.

I remove his hand on my waist and stand up. He get mad on my action.

“What are you doing!?”

“Sorry. I’m off sir. Enjoy your party!” I give him a smile of a winner and leave. I heard him shouting but I didn’t understand his words. I signal my goodbye to my manager and she gives me a apologetic smile. I know my manager will never allow her coworkers to do that if only she have a choice.

I hope I won’t see the guy again. Or else he will ruin my life.
