Episode 5

I was running in the shed as the rain started falling. I just finish my classes and wanted to go home to sip coffee.

It would great to watch a movie or read books in this weather. It’s inviting me as well to relax and sleep after my classes but I got stuck in the shed.

I didn’t brought my umbrella with me since the weather this morning was sunny. And the forecast did not said that it will rain today.

Good thing, I bought purple yum yesterday. It is a perfect match on this weather. I don’t have any shift today until next week since the final exam is coming. I tend to book offs during exam. I spend one to two weeks to prepare to my exams. I would rather book offs to make sure I’ll pass all my subjects. I don’t want to waste my tuition so I set my education as my priority.

And it seems like the weather is not good to me. The rain won’t stop too soon and if I run to go home - my books will gonna get wet and I don’t want that to happened.

I’ve been waiting for almost two hours, when I saw a car stopped. I am not expecting anyone to pick me up so I continue humming to the song playing on my phone.

I wish the rain stop soon. When I lifted my eyes, I saw that guy again. He ran towards my direction.

“Hey. Do you want me to drive you?”

I pretended not to hear those words. Seeing him again is a bad sign. And running away right now is not a good decision.

“You let everyone call you, Liz. I thought I was the only one can call you that.”

With that statement, I look at him. Who’s he?

“Now I got your attention. You don’t remember me, don’t you?” He said. His face is very serious throwing those words.

“I’m your Oppa.” He said and there’s a glint of sadness on his eyes.

“I’m your Oppa.” He repeated but my mind can only think of one person. The face of my Oppa when I was six years old came back on my memory.

My Oppa usually visits me on the orphanage but he stops coming after two years. He’s the only person who calls me, Liz. He want everyone to call me Anna instead since my full name is Annaliza.

He always help me to stand up and wipe my tears when I was a kid but he stop sending letters or visits the Orphanage. I shouldn’t be mad of him for his decision. He taught me to became strong and independent.

“I recognized you on the party but I didn’t introduce myself. Everyone changed, Liz. Including me, I don’t know if you’ll let me enter in to your life again if you’ll know the new me.”

“At the same time, I won’t slip again on my eyesight. I missed you, Liz.”

I was crying the whole time hearing his words. My Oppa is beside me right now. He remember me. He recognized me.

I hug him tightly which made him chuckle.

“I missed you, Oppa.” I said and punch him at the same time.

“What was that for?”

“For ignoring my letters. For not visiting me. And for being rude on the party. If only...”

“If only? If only I let you know that it’s me, your oppa. Will you open your arms and hug me?”

I nodded like a kid. “I kept waiting for your letters but there’s none. And you scary, Oppa.”

He wipe my tears. “I’m sorry for scarying you.” He smiled.

“I told you. For the few years, I became a new person. And you know what, when you’re try to ignore me and act like you’re happy with your family. I was so jealous and mad.”

“I just wanted to be your only Oppa.” He whispered to my ears.
