By Steven:
I'm Steven Wilson, a top prosecutor in most courts. My father is a renowned judge, the best in that field.
When my mother died, we both swore that we would always take justice into our own hands and punish the guilty as they deserved.
Everything in my life was full of happiness, except for the loss of my mother.
Samantha was the cutest girl in college. She had entered her first year at the law school I was studying at.
That's how I met her, and I was struck by her beauty and charisma. She was beautiful in every way. It took me a while to get her to notice me, but I managed to get her to notice me, and little by little I made her fall in love with me. The only bad thing was her best friend: Declan Stone. We all knew him. He is a very outstanding businessman. He started building his empire at the age of 15, and he is the number one in the business world, but he is an antisocial person. He has never had friends, nor has he been seen surrounded by women like others. Still, he is always close to her, and it bothers me, even though Samantha says that he is just her best friend since she has known him since she was a baby. Still, I don't quite believe it because I can notice that devotion with which he observes her.
So I asked her to stay away from him. Although she was bothered by my request, she tried, not completely, but I was still happy to know that she loved me as much as I loved her.
Over the next two years, our relationship grew stronger, although I hadn't touched her intimately because I loved and respected her, and she was a lady from her house. I would still make her my wife, so without thinking about it any longer, I proposed to her in the middle of the university courtyard. I know she was only in her third year, and maybe that's why she would want to think about it before giving me an answer. Seeing the indecision in her, I told her that after our marriage she could continue studying. I would never make her leave her dreams halfway.
So she immediately accepted.
My beautiful Samantha would be my wife. She was so happy that she ran to tell Declan, her best friend. He took it quite well, to my surprise, so I thought I had been making too many assumptions. In that lapse of time, I got to know him a little better, and I could see that he was really happy about Samantha's happiness, so he just approached both of us and wished us the best.
When we told him that our wedding would be in three months and Samantha asked him to be the best man, he only apologized and told her that he would not be present since he had a very large business to close in another part of the country and would be absent for a while.
Samantha didn't take it very well, but she still agreed. She knows how important her friend is, so she just smiled for him. A month later he would leave, but that day not only would he leave, but he would also see the true face of the woman I love.
How could she do it? I wonder when I see the cameras of that incident. Once again, my blood boils. How could I be so blind and let myself be deceived only by her beauty? She was a wretch. She had abandoned a young man to his fate who could have survived if she hadn't left him there alone and escaped from her crime. I hated so much that being who abandoned my mother until her death that I didn't realize that now all my hatred and indignation was directed towards the woman who had promised to always love and protect me. Those last words were forgotten after seeing those images.
I couldn't do anything. The trial would take place in a week. The young man's family was crying bitterly, shouting for justice, and that's why I agreed to be the prosecutor in this case. At first, they wanted to refuse because many knew my relationship with Samantha, but my father intervened when he saw me so determined. He asked me if I was sure, and I told him yes, that I would make her pay for what she did. Hearing those words from me, he only accepted and told me that he only hoped that I would not regret it later. After all, she was the woman who was going to become my wife in a couple of months.
I just nodded. I knew my father appreciated her and that he was disappointed by what she had done, but I couldn't deny that even though it hurt me, I would never act against what I am and think, so I was sure to make her pay and throw her in jail for her crime.
By Gabriel Stone,
I am Gabriel Stone, I am 24 years old. I am not only Declan's assistant but also his friend, right-hand man and cousin. I have always known of my cousin's deep love for little Samantha. I call her that because she was always the smallest among us. I was sure that one day those two would end up together until I was surprised to find out that she had a boyfriend. I knew that my cousin was having a bad time, and even more so when I noticed the damn character he was carrying at the company. All the employees were terrified of him. Nobody wanted to cross him. Although many women describe him as an Adonis, the truth is that in order to have the position he has, he had to become someone cruel and ruthless. It is not easy to be someone important, and I know the burden he has carried, especially seeing that his father detests him since all the fortune of his wife went into the hands of his son.
Although Declan in front of Samantha always behaved like the best friend, I knew deep down how much it hurt him to see her with another man. It was worse when a couple of years passed and she told him that she was getting married. He only showed her that he was happy for her, but he arrived devastated.
After that event, he decided to travel the following month. He needed to try to keep his feelings hidden because he was about to go crazy, so he asked me to take care of everything in his absence since not even I would know where to find him, because that was what he had decided. Who was I to oppose him? I only asked him if he was sure about leaving her like that without fighting. He only smiled and told me that idiot loves her, so I leave peacefully. When I feel that I am ready, I will return. I need to disconnect from everything.
I just nodded at this. It was not the first time something like this had happened, since when my aunt died the same thing happened, only that for that time Samantha went for him, somehow she knew where to find him.
I didn't say anything, and like his faithful squire I agreed to help him, I more than anyone was loyal to him, since he had helped me in the most difficult moment of my life.
