Day 15-30

Day 15 – He Waited

I was the last one out of class. Everyone else had gone home.

Except him.

He sat quietly on the front steps, phone in hand, but not really using it.

“You’re still here?” I asked.

He looked up. “I said I’d wait, didn’t I?”

My heart whispered something I wasn’t ready to say out loud.

Day 16 – Birthday Confession

“It’s my birthday,” I told him, like it was no big deal.

He blinked. “Seriously? And you didn’t tell me earlier?”

From his bag, he pulled out a small gift—handmade, wrapped in paper with little stars.

Inside: a bracelet with a moon charm.

“Happy birthday, Ria.”

He remembered. And somehow, he knew what I’d love.

Day 17 – Jealousy

A guy from another section helped me with my project.

Later, Calix was quiet. Too quiet.

“You okay?” I asked.

He looked at me with a shrug.

“Didn’t know you were into guys like him.”

Was that… jealousy peeking through his calm voice?

Day 18 – Close Call

I tripped while going down the stairs. My life flashed for like, half a second.

But suddenly—hands. Strong ones. His.

“You okay?”

I nodded, heart racing from something else.

“You always end up needing to be caught.”

“Maybe because you’re always there,” I whispered. Not sure if he heard.

Day 19 – The Almost Hug

I broke down after a rough exam and a bad day.

He stood awkwardly, watching me fight my tears.

Then slowly, he stepped forward and pulled me into a short hug.

It wasn’t perfect. Not movie-like.

But it was real.

“You didn’t have to,” I said.

“I wanted to,” he replied.

Day 20 – He Knows

He handed me a cup of coffee.

“Two sugars. No cream. Just the way you like it.”

I stared.

“How’d you know?”

He smiled. That soft kind of smile.

“I listen. Even when you think no one does.”

My heart: melting.

Day 21 – Paper Plane

I found a paper plane on my desk.

Written inside:

“Meet me after class at the rooftop.”

No name. But it was always him.

I went. He was waiting—quiet, holding two cans of soda.

“I just wanted to see you without noise around.”

My heart: thump.

Day 22 – Panic Call

My phone buzzed at midnight.

Calix.

“Sorry,” he said, voice shaky. “I just needed someone to talk to.”

We stayed on the line, not saying much.

Sometimes silence speaks louder than words.

That night, I knew—he was carrying things he didn’t say.

Day 23 – Hoodie Day

I forgot my jacket. It was freezing in the room.

Without a word, he dropped his hoodie on my desk.

“Wear it. I don’t want you sick.”

It smelled like him—mint and something I couldn’t name.

I never wanted to give it back.

Day 24 – Hidden Playlist

I checked his Spotify.

One playlist was private. But I saw the title: “For Her.”

Songs about slow falling, soft touches, quiet admiration.

Was I her?

God, I hoped I was her.

Day 25 – Memory Lane

He showed me a photo of us from the first day of class.

“I kept this,” he said. “Even when we weren’t talking yet.”

“You noticed me?” I asked.

“Always,” he said. “Since day one.”

Day 26 – Just Stay

I had a fight with my mom. I didn’t want to go home.

He sat with me on the sidewalk, no questions.

Just quiet company.

“Don’t talk,” I said. “Just stay.”

And he did.

That’s what made him different. He stayed.

Day 27 – What If

“What if this all ends after graduation?” I asked.

He paused.

“Then we fight to make it not end,” he replied.

“And if it still does?”

“Then at least we made the most of it while it lasted.”

His honesty hurt. But it was beautiful.

Day 28 – Back Hug

He surprised me behind the library shelves—wrapped his arms around me.

“Sorry,” he whispered. “I just needed this.”

And I let him.

Because I needed it too.

More than I’d admit.

Day 29 – Almost Kiss

He leaned in—slow, unsure.

His eyes were asking a question.

My breath caught.

But then the bell rang.

We pulled away, pretending nothing happened.

But something did happen.

Everything almost changed.

Day 30 – One More Minute

Class was over. Everyone left.

“I should go,” I said.

He nodded.

But then he asked, “Can you stay for just one more minute?”

I stayed.

And in that one minute, nothing was said—

but everything was felt.
