Day 41-47

Day 41 – The Conversation

It was different after that kiss. Not awkward, but there was a shift.

We sat in silence for a while before I spoke.

“What are we doing, Calix?”

“I don’t know,” he admitted. “But I want to keep doing it.”

I smiled, heart full.

“Then let’s not think about it. Let’s just be us.”

Day 42 – New Beginnings

The next day, we walked together, hand in hand.

“You know,” he said, “we’re kind of an open secret now.”

I laughed.

“I guess so.”

But it didn’t matter. We were real, and that was all that counted.

“Whatever happens, I’m glad we’re here,” I told him.

He squeezed my hand.

“Me too.”

Day 43 – The Letter

He handed me a letter before class.

“Open it when you’re alone,” he said, a soft smile on his face.

I waited until I was in my room, sitting on my bed, and unfolded it.

“I see you in ways no one else does. I like the way you make me feel. And I want to be the person who makes you feel safe. Whatever comes next, I want to do it with you.”

My heart melted.

I never knew I could love someone this much.

Day 44 – The Future

It was hard to talk about the future. The one thing we couldn’t control.

“What if we end up going to different schools?” I asked.

“Then we’ll make it work,” he said.

“It’s not that simple.”

He smiled. “It never is.”

But for some reason, I trusted him.

Day 45 – A Moment of Doubt

For the first time, I doubted us.

“What if we’re rushing this?” I asked him, voice shaky.

He took my hands in his.

“Maybe. But we’ll figure it out. Together.”

And with that, I knew he was right. If we worked together, it would be okay.

Day 46 – The Decision

“I want you to be happy, Ria,” he said. “Whatever makes you happy.”

“Then be with me,” I said, more sure than I’d ever been.

“I’m already with you.”

We kissed, and it felt like a promise—not just for today, but for every day after.

Day 47 – Falling, Fully

The countdown ended. The 47 days that changed everything.

And in those 47 days, I fell—deeper than I ever thought possible.

With him.

And I didn’t want to stop.

We were in this together, and that was enough.
