Day 31-40

Day 31 – Confession

He caught me in the hallway after class.

“I need to say something,” he said, his voice uncharacteristically serious.

I waited. My heart was racing.

“I’m falling for you,” he admitted, looking into my eyes.

I couldn’t breathe.

All I could do was whisper, “Me too.”

Day 32 – The Question

“What happens now?” I asked him after school, both of us sitting at our usual spot on the rooftop.

He looked at me for a long time.

“Now, we take it day by day,” he said. “Because I don’t know where this will go either. But I want to see where it leads.”

His honesty felt like home.

Day 33 – First Fight

We disagreed. Over something stupid, something small.

But it turned into a mess of hurt feelings and words we couldn’t take back.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” I asked, voice cracking.

“Why didn’t you ask?” he fired back.

We didn’t talk for the rest of the day.

But when he texted me at midnight, I knew everything would be okay.

“I’m sorry. I don’t want to fight with you.”

Day 34 – Trust

“I trust you,” he said, leaning against the wall.

“Even with everything you know about me?” I asked, unsure.

He nodded.

“You’re real, Ria. That’s all that matters.”

It was enough. For once, I didn’t feel like I was pretending.

Day 35 – Walking Home

The rain started pouring as we were about to part ways.

“You don’t have an umbrella,” he said.

“I’ll be fine.”

He grabbed my hand. “No. I’ll walk you home.”

He didn’t let go.

And somehow, I didn’t want him to.

Day 36 – The Wait

We hadn’t spoken much that day.

But as I walked out of class, he was standing there, waiting.

“I don’t know what to say, but I just wanted to see you,” he said quietly.

And for the first time, I didn’t need words.

Just his presence was enough.

Day 37 – Date Night

He took me to a little café. Nothing fancy, but perfect.

We talked, laughed, and shared stories until the night felt too short.

“I could do this forever,” he said, smiling at me.

“Then let’s make sure it lasts.”

Day 38 – Lost and Found

I lost my wallet. Panic set in.

Then Calix showed up, holding it.

“You really need to stop losing things,” he joked.

“I swear it’s not on purpose,” I said, embarrassed.

But his smile made me feel like everything was okay.

“I’ll always find you,” he said, his voice softer than usual.

Day 39 – Holding On

Things were going too fast, and part of me was scared.

“What if it’s too much?” I asked.

“Then we slow down,” he replied.

“But we don’t stop.”

And just like that, I knew. There was no stopping us anymore.

Day 40 – The First Kiss

I stood outside my house, about to go inside when I turned around.

He was right there.

His eyes were asking, just like before, but this time I didn’t pull away.

He kissed me—soft, slow, and everything I needed.

And in that moment, I knew: I was already falling, and I wasn’t afraid.
