THE BILLIONAIRE MAFIA BOY IS OBSESSED WITH ME
PAGE 3
Time seems to freeze. The sounds of the neighborhood—the distant barking of dogs, the hum of electric fans, the laughter from a nearby house—fade into the background. All Lilith can hear is the frantic beating of her own heart, hammering against her ribs like a trapped bird.
She squeezes her eyes shut for a second, mustering every ounce of courage she has. She is Lilith Reyes. She fights for every peso, she carries heavy sacks, she takes care of her family. She does not scare easily.
LILITH
Belong to you? Who do you think you are? This isn’t some movie!
She raises her hand, aiming the small canister directly at his face, her finger hovering over the nozzle.
LILITH
Get out of my way or I swear, I’ll spray you! I’m not afraid to use this!
Draco doesn’t even flinch. If anything, the corner of his lips twitches upward into a dark, amused smirk. He finds her fire intoxicating. He leans in even closer, his nose almost brushing against hers, completely disregarding the weapon in her hand.
DRACO
(Chuckles lowly)
Feisty. I like it. It makes you real.
He slowly lifts his hand, not to hurt her, but to gently capture her wrist holding the spray. His grip is firm, unyielding, but not painful. He easily lowers her hand down, as if she weighs nothing more than a feather.
DRACO
Go ahead. Spray me. But I promise you, mahal, even if you blind me, I’ll still find my way back to you.
His words send a shiver down her spine that has nothing to do with the cool evening breeze. The intensity in his eyes is overwhelming—dark, possessive, and burning with an obsession that scares her more than his strength does.
LILITH
You’re crazy... You’re absolutely crazy.
DRACO
Crazy for you.
He releases her wrist only to brush his thumb against her cheek, wiping away a smudge of dust she didn’t know was there. His touch is surprisingly warm, and incredibly gentle compared to his intimidating frame.
DRACO
You work too hard, liit. Carrying heavy things... walking in the heat... it’s not good for you.
Lilith stares at him, bewildered.
LILITH
How do you... have you been watching me?
Draco leans his forehead against hers, closing his eyes for a brief moment, inhaling her scent—a mixture of cheap detergent, sunshine, and something uniquely her.
DRACO
I’ve been looking for you for a very long time. And now that I found you... I’m never letting you go.
Suddenly, the sound of a motorcycle engine roars to life nearby, followed by the flashing of headlights cutting through the dim alley. Three big bikes pull up, their riders wearing the same black shirts Lilith saw earlier.
Draco pulls away from her, the intimate moment shattered instantly as his entire demeanor shifts. The softness vanishes, replaced instantly by the cold, hard authority of a leader.
He turns his back to her, facing his men.
DRACO
(Voice cold and commanding)
Bring the car around. And make sure the path is clear.
One of the men nods frantically, bowing his head slightly. "Yes, Boss."
Draco looks back at her one last time over his shoulder. The dangerous glint is back in his eyes.
DRACO
Go home, Lilith. Rest. But remember what I said.
He takes a step towards his vehicle, then pauses.
DRACO
You’re mine. And very soon... everyone is going to know it.
He gets into a sleek, black luxury car that suddenly appears out of nowhere, engine purring like a beast. The convoy speeds off, leaving Lilith standing alone in the alley, heart racing, clutching her pepper spray, wondering if she just met the man of her dreams... or her worst nightmare.
