I wonder what the defeat was like back then when fighting against Vietnam, and the bushes can talk. If you don't remember, let me:
1954–1960: After the Geneva Accords, the US replaced France in supporting the Republic of Vietnam, implementing a neo-colonial policy and establishing the Ngo Dinh Diem regime to divide Vietnam.
1961–1965: The US deployed the "Special War" strategy, mainly using the Saigon army, combined with "strategic hamlet" operations.
1965–1968: The US sent expeditionary forces to the South, implementing the "Limited War" and bombing the North. The peak was the strategic counteroffensives during the dry season and the Tet Offensive of 1968, forcing the US to de-escalate.
1969–1973: The US gradually withdrew its troops, shifting to the "Vietnamization of the War" strategy, using firepower and aid. Following the failure of the B-52 air raids in late 1972, the US signed the Paris Agreement in 1973, withdrawing all its troops. The period 1973–1975: The Republic of Vietnam weakened, creating the conditions for the Spring 1975 General Offensive and Uprising, culminating in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign, liberating the South and unifying the country.
