Chapter2\~ Teenage love blossoms

Thursday lunch time was fast approaching and Sun only now realized that his Juniors had mix physical training with them. This was a surprise both him and Jay. Jay was the first to approach the boys that was laughing at some weird joke Gun made about their class mate.

“Hey Gun,Ben and H” Hwan was weirded out that he addressed him as H but smiled awkwardly and surprised as well. The two boys said their greetings to Jay. Slowly they found themselves talking and following Jay to their sitting area waiting for the coach. Hwan only realized that there is four of them and got freaked out for a split second and noticed after looking around that the fourth person was not here. He let out a contented sigh and smiled with his eyes closed doing a little turn to bump right into.... the last person that needs to be here

Hwan did not know why but his heart sunk in his chest, hands and feet clammy, face paled and Ben jump into action as he knew his friend was having a panic attack. On the other hand Dawn stood there whilst examining that miniature boy becoming paper white with big watery eyes staring at him like a little sheep afraid that the big bad wolf will eat him if he make any sudden movements. His head tilted like a dog does fascinated with what’s in front of him.

Ben dragged his friend away from the tall boy and had him sit on the bench folding a paper for his mouth and nose covered and taking deep breaths. Dawn still analyzing the situation sat crossed leg 5 feet from where Hwan started getting his composure whispering so Ben could hear him and Ben nodding his head as if he understood where he was coming from

In Hwan’s mind he kept questioning, how come he never saw them before in this class or is it that he just never noticed, as before yesterday he never saw Dawn in this light. Dawn was still confused and dumbfounded with what just happened, he has seen this boy being super loud all the time since beginning of the year so why is he quiet today. Apart from his princess he found himself liking Thursday’s because of this boy. He would over heard his crazy thoughts and idea about almost everything. He would smile inwardly to whatever crazy idea he had. Now looking at him he felt confused just as he did yesterday and that got him frustrated so he sat with a sort of pout and scowl making him sort of cute and the caused a chuckle to be heard in front of him from the miniature boy. He snapped out of his mind and stared again at the boy with fascination this time.

Jay was loving this scene and was also taking proof of his friend being confused, fascinated and surprised all in that sequence. He approached Dawn and sat crossed leg also and showed him the video of how he looked just now. Dawn had to laugh and this surprised not only Jay but everyone within an earshot from them. This was the first time he was vocal in public with his laughter. Not aware that he gain a few attention from people and they were staring he kept replaying the video until whistle could be heard notifying them that coach was ready to begin class

Hwan was mesmerized by that laugh like any other people that stood and stared at Dawn. He kept thinking that maybe he was jealous even intimidated by him but he didn’t know. He is just plain confused now. He stood in line like the coach ask and was ready for whatever he planned for them.

Gym class was finally over with Ben and Gun ready to pass out from the amount of running around and obstacles to avoid, the seniors did not take it easy on them and were savages.. Hwan was really hyped up after that as he loved the thrill of getting chased somehow the only person that managed to catch him twice in a row was Dawn and after that it was like he wanted Hwan to have fun withoutsittingand feeling bored waiting for everything to be over to start over again

Lunch was about to be uneventful when Jay approached the three friends before exiting the locker rooms and said to join them leaving no room to refuse. Hwan being hungry skipped to the table that the others was occupying and took his lunch out and signaled Ben to get his favorite beverage. Hwan tookouthis three containers which his mother prepared. Today was sausage day with rice and eggs. His mother was of Japanese decent but he got a korean name which he always questioned. She would make weird caricature with the sausages but he ate it with a contented smile as it was super delicious. One box was for the sausages the other rice with eggs and the last box was a surprise. As he was about to open it Ben approached the table with his lunch and the Pink milk for Hwan. The occupants on the table was silently whatching the boy enjoying his meals immensely a smile appeared once more on Dawn’s face while he made his way towards the table and it seems that he got free lunch again. He set it on the lunch table and slid it a cross to he friends. One thing Dawn doesn’t really do is eat. He would take few bite and that’s it he rather drink water but once in awhile he would appreciate a nice meal that his mother would prepare once a month.

Being Hwan when it comes to food is like watching two lover unable to resist each other’s presence and everything else is silent in the background but once distracted he looses interest in the food and becomes immersed with the new discovery. Today was like he just came back from a hunger strike and was ready to empty the bowls. He took a few sausages and shared across the table whilst his mouth was occupied and without realizing he forced one small sausages in Dawn’s mouth and continued to much while humming a tune with swinging his leg beneath the table.

Every chatter on the table was stopped awaiting for what Dawn will do next but just like Hwan was immersed in his food Dawn was immersed in his phone and started chewing slowly on the salty delight with a small smile. Jay cleared his throat and got the others to snap out of what the just witnessed. To Parker something was totally wrong with this but chose to keep his mouth shut for once. Sun already saw the start of the it couple in the school with only four months left he could see it happening. Gun and Ben almost jump off their seats appreciating the start of something beautiful. Jay finally came to a realization that that might have been why his friend asked this question yesterday and totally knew where he was coming from.The rest of the day went without any new surprises on either party.

Hwan has felt a change in him since the time he met Dawn but still insisting that it’s a part of growing up being a 15 year old boy going through puberty. He no longer felt compelled to look at girls with his friend like they usually do but he didn’t feel that towards boys either but only one person stood out. Dawn. Numerous times during this week he would curse Dawn and his mother would be confused but settle with his son not wating to go to school as dawn represented a new day.

His sister would notice how he would take a lot of time in the bathroom in the morning fixing his hair over and over and knew his brother is smitten with some girl and her name must be Dawn. So being the good sister she spilled her thoughts to their mother. Being a concerned mother to her two kids she started checking on her sons behavior and came to the conclusion that yes . Her some was in love more like have a deep affect for this Dawn person.

Parent-teacher conference week was happening starting with the juniors and Hwan’s mother was eager to meet this Dawn person. She has planned everything for her to surprise her son on giving her feedback on Dawn. To conference started at 10 and and teachers met with the parents during the day so this cause all crude tro have self study class from 10 am till end of school for a whole week followed by a pre exam test the next week and handing in projects. Dawn was dreading this day as his result was not so good. Becoming afraid that his mother will embarrass him in front of everyone like last year. He was in class two and does not wish to ascend or decend. He wanted to stay in class two.

Finally it came for him to visit each of the teachers class with his parent which was his mother. In his heart and head he was praying full force for his mother to not embarrass him . First class was for physics and he sucks bad at this subject and to his surprise he saw a bleached haired boy walking towards that class and shouted “Jay” forgetting his mother was walking right next to him. He skipped next to him and hug him to jay and his mother’s surprise. She didn’t know that he had older friends and he never mentioned so that caused her to feel that these older boys must have influenced him someways. One the boy turned to gave the small boy he had a huge grin and pat Hwan on his head in a friendly manner more or less like an older brother would do. “H, what are you doing on this side of the building? You did not get lost again right?” Hwan shook his head and spoke softly making his mother walk a little bit faster to comprehend why his sone was behaving this way. All of a sudden the taller boy lift his head and stood his height and staring in the direction of his mother and flashed one of his charming smile towards her. She was surprised and flustered with the boys beauty and has to get back her composure. She felt a bit out of breath with walking fast to reach them and by the surprisingly charming boy.

“Good day Mrs. Noguchi, I’m Jay. Hwan’s body guard” he joked on mentioning body guard while smiling again. Hwan’s mother had to let the smile appear on her face when she felt not threat towards his son. Jay escorted them towards the classroom and mentioned to the teacher that he was a visitor and went to his seat that was I. The back with Dawn.

Hwan appeared first and searched the room ignoring the stares of other student and rested on a bored looking Dawn staring out side until he saw Jay whispering and his head turned as quick as he felt jay finished what he said. Hwan blushed and did a quick wave and followed by his mother he sat on the chair set up next to the teachers desk. His mother took a little time to check the class and noticed Jay sitting next to another handsome boy whose gaze was fixated on her sone and she felt it was a treat so she as her son of the other boy next to his friend and he shrugged mentioning nothing.

The teacher came back with few documents a few books as well. Before gathering teacher could say anything Hwan asked to go sit with Jay and went to the back of the class. He stood next to Jay ignoring the stares from Dawn and giggled every now and then at something jay showed on his phone. This was making Dawn frustrated and Jay felt the heat coming from his friend. Before he could say anything to appease his friend a student burst into the class went straight to the teacher and asked for Dawn. The teacher shouted Dawn’s name to go to the office for a meeting with the principal. Hwan’s mothers face lit up smiling that she would finally see who the girl that got his son smitten to only scowl when that tall handsome boy stood up and walked out as if he is walking on air. His presence was missed when he left and he saw that as well on her son’s face. Jay caressed Hwan in his head pulling him closer as to console his son and whispered something that made her sone smile md with his ears becoming red.

After they left the class the rest went by in a blur and last stop was at the office to sign a few papers and check if tutoring would be needed. Hwan did not want his mother to spend any more than she already have with the extra curricular after class that he promised to study hard from now on. As they were about to exit the office a door was pulled open with Dawn’s father exiting thanking principal Joel for his time a a chill looking Dawn behind him with a lack of interest. Dawn followed his father outside and Hwan’s mother saw where this boy got his presence from even though their feature were not apparent.

“I’ll drive you home” Dawn’s father stated “It’s okay dad, I’m hanging with friends after school” he politely declined. His voice was really deep for a kid Hwan’s mother was mesmerized as well as respect for his parents for bringing up such a nice boy “Don’t stay out late, your mother will worry okay” Dawn nodded and did a small wave. As he turned he noticed the loving stare he received from Hwan’s mother and next to her this boys ears was already red with shyness. He approached them thinking that now was a better time to get the introduction out of the way

“ Hello Hwan’s Mum, I’m Dawn, Hwan’s senior” he introduced himself with much effort to make it as honest and non scary as possible adding his rare smile

Without realizing Hwan’s mother held him and a tight embrace pulling him to her level and patting his head softly like a loving mother welcoming their lost child back. Hwan was as surprised as Dawn was and tried to have his mother release the tall boy. After she let go she said two word “ I approve” and bid farewell to his son. The two boys felt confused as what she meant until Dawn smile from figuring out what she meant but the smaller boy was still confused as usual. With a chuckle Dean motioned for the smaller boy to follow him inside and get his stuff as school was about to end soon.

The three Juniors and four Seniors was seated at the back of the cafe with their books out finishing projects as well as studying for next week’s exam. Parker was feeling bothered by the fact that these juniors just changed everything over night. Dawn was slowly changing from being the brooding type to a more tolerable person but he did not understand Jay’s intentions. He felt that Jay may be having feelings for Gun but it’s not the case at the same type so that caused him to be bothered.

Sun was just cramping his head as much as possible feeling the stress mounting up as well frustration as he had not met his girlfriend for the entire last week and now this week and next week also he was ready to burst. Jay being closer to Dawn’s level of intelligence was not really preoccupied with studying and homework was done already since self study. He was more interested with the server that took his break just a minute ago and wanted to interact with wilder boy. Gun played a major role on providing lucrative information about the older boy and now he had a lot of topic to star from. As per Gun, Paris is batting for the same team and was currently single, he is studying business administration in college and that was were he was considering taking his education to as well. Gun gave the go ahead and he excused himself and approached the older boy sitting at the far corner of the bar area. His heart was beating so hard that he felt that someone might hear. Paris never felt the need to take extra time with his appearance but that changed suddenly when the tall boy before him started frequenting the cafe and paying extra attention to him. He questioned what a high schooler will want to do with him but the moment he flashed that charming smile he knew he was screwed.

Hwan was struggling and it was sad to watch, especially for Dawn. He felt that he’s had everything handed to him and hence him shutting himself from other people to avoid them knowing how much his had or have in his life.

Since his seat is next to Hwan he pulled the chair along with the boy close to him and took the book and examined what he was struggling with. He chuckled softly when he saw a faint trace of his name in the corner of the book after being erase but poorly. Hwan felt even more stupid now when he heard Dawn chuckled. If he could he would bury himself in a hole and not come out just for food. Dawn placed his open palm asking for his pencil and scribble something in his book then took the blank paper giving a details solution for Hwan to follow. Hwan was impressed that not only is this kid smart but his handwriting was super neat. “Is there anything you’re not good at?” Hwan asked under his breath but Dawn replied leaning to his ears and whispered “Not Sure” and that caused the small boys ears to turn bright red.

Parker was fed up with these stupid equations and essay and called it a day. He mentioned that he will not come to school because his brain has reached its capacity. Sun bid his goodbye as well saying he will go mad if he doesn’t see his girl at least an hour. Ben was next to leave as his mother called him to come home. Gun left shortly after leaving Jay flirting away with Paris. Paris had a permanent flushed face and Dawn knew that his friend was already giving his best to get this older boy.

Hwan was starting to grasp what the teacher was babbling about with Dawn’s detailed explanation. It was starting to become gray outside but the two kept at it for another hour and finally with a satisfied sigh Hwan felt accomplished. He noticed that it was only him and Dawn at the table and friends no where in sight and it was dark outside. He started freaking out until Dawn placed a hand on his shoulder calming him instantly. “I called someone to send us home, let’s wait outside” Dawn inform helping him packing his books. After stuffing his things in the bag Dawn wondered how did this small teen carry such heavy bags.

After much complaining about who to carry the bag and paying the bill that everyone seemed to have forgotten Dawn was seen in a new light by the small teen. Once they reached outside a slick car stopped right in front of them with a driver stepping out and calling Dawn young master. Dawn open the door and gesture for Hwan to step in and climb in after him. Giving direction they reached Hwan’s house in 5 minutes. To Dawn the house was cute and cozy. He walked Hwan until the fist step leading inside his house. Both stood awkwardly with Hwan’s ears already red and Dawn staring intently at Hwan’s biting his lips. Out of the silence a voice came through the door surprising both boys,

“Kiss him already” if the earth could swallow Hwan, he would have been fine with it. Dawn had a wide grin on his face contrary to the smaller teen that now even his face was red from being embarrassed. Dawn leaned and gave a peck on Hwan’s lips and whispered “Be a good boy” and turned heading to the car. Hwan entered the house red as a tomato with his sister filming.

“Did you filmed us?” His face surprised and eyes ready to bulge out of its sockets when she nodded. His mother was grinning finally seeing the person that had hold of his son and control on his ploud self.

Dawn made his way to his princess room. Opening the door slowly and saw that she had already fallen asleep with her story book open next to her. He felt a strong brotherly love towards her in every type of way and wanted to protect her from the work and everyone. He closed the book and felt that tonight she would sleep next to him. Taking her and her plushie he carried her to his room and placed her on his bed with her plushie secured in her arms. He took a quick shower and went to sleep with his princess next to him.

In the dark hour Dawn’s mother stood admiring the amount of love her son has for his sister and that love was more that he loved her and she came to that realization fairly quickly the first time her held her and whispered Destiny to the little bundle. A tear slipped her eyes thinking how unfair she has been with all her children especially Dawn.
