CHAPTER 4

“Nope.”

A deep voice lingered close to his ear, making his stomach tighten.

“Nah… Phii Phayu, you said we’d talk about the cost.”

Crazy. That vibrating voice…

“We will talk for sure, but I’ll wipe you dry first.”

Warm breath poured onto the nape of his neck. One hand rested against his pale skin while the other gently wiped his damp hair. Rain clutched the hem of his trousers tightly, his cheeks burning hotter by the second.

Confirm again. I don’t like men.

Gasp!

He didn’t like men… but why, when Phii Phayu dragged his fingertips along the back of his neck, did his face flush red? Why did he flinch?

“I… I think I’d better wipe it myself.”

Phayu didn’t answer. Instead, he pressed closer, chest firm against Rain’s back. His sharp face lowered into the crook of Rain’s neck.

“Are you sure you want to wipe it yourself?”

Kiss.

“Ph–Phii, what are you doing?!”

Warm lips brushed his skin.

Pull!

“Hey!”

Rain realized the danger too late. In one swift motion, he was pushed onto a soft bed. The towel slipped from his head to the floor.

But that wasn’t the most shocking part.

The tall figure followed — straddling him.

“Phii Phayu, what are you doing? Let me go!” Rain shrieked, trembling as he pushed at the other man’s chest. The human wall didn’t move.

Swiftly.

“Well, we are going to talk about the cost.”

“Cost… pay… hey!”

His eyes widened.

Phii Phayu wasn’t asking for money.

He was asking for… his body.

“Hey, Phii… you are gay?!” he asked in a trembling voice, praying this was all a joke.

“Honestly, I have to say I am bi.” Phayu shrugged casually. Not joking at all. He lowered his head toward the stunned boy. “And Rain, you’re the one who proposed to me.”

“I…?”

“Suddenly the radiator leaks. The car won’t start. Plus, you keep looking at me.”

Rain was speechless.

Looking at him? Yes.

But the radiator and the car? That was just bad luck!

“I…”

“Like this, everyone knows the bridge will be cast for you.”

Before Rain could argue, that deep bass voice echoed near his ear again.

Suffocating.

Phayu buried his face into the crook of Rain’s neck. Warm lips brushed pale skin. A large hand slipped beneath his thin nightshirt, cold fingers grazing his abdomen.

Rain’s face burned red.

“Let me go, Phii… you’re misunderstanding.” He pushed weakly at his shoulders, but his strength was fading under the assault of warm kisses against his collarbone.

“Are you sure I misunderstood?”

Swiftly.

Rain flinched again, biting his lip pale as that large hand slid lower.

“Phii… stop…”

His voice was soft. Too soft.

He had never been touched like this before. His whole body trembled. Warm lips pressed along his cheekbone, his chin. Damp heat brushed against his skin, making him groan despite himself.

“Stop, I’m not joking, Phii Phayu!” He pushed harder, shouting.

Suddenly—

Phayu lifted himself.

Rain’s body went cold.

Those once-hot eyes turned icy.

“Can you stop playing? It’s annoying when you boys play hard to get.”

“…!”

Rain’s lips parted in shock. Tears filled his eyes.

It wasn’t fear.

It was hurt.

Phayu leaned down again, aiming to kiss him—

Bang!

Rain grabbed a pillow and smacked him across the head.

Stunned.

Rain rolled off the bed, gasping, hair messy, pointing furiously.

“Go and die, you bastard!”

The admiration he’d carried for a whole week shattered instantly.

“Jeez! I’m not seducing you! I never thought of it… such a nice face but bad manners! Even if you put money in front of me, I won’t open my legs to you!”

He clutched his shirt to his chest, eyes wet with anger and disappointment.

He rushed toward the door—

“Where’s my bag?”

He turned to glare at the man still sitting on the bed.

“Where are you going?”

“Home! Who wants to stay with a psycho like you?!”

“In the closet.”

Rain rushed over, grabbed his bag, and hugged it tightly. Phayu only lay there, watching calmly.

“Oh, and just so you know,” Phayu said lazily, “with the shouting you just did, the whole garage is probably awake. In that state you’re in… you won’t make it three steps before they swarm you.”

Rain’s face flushed red when he realized his body’s betraying reaction. He covered himself quickly.

“What are you looking at, psychopath!”

“Sigh. I’m not in the mood.” Phayu stood and rubbed his head. “This is why I’m bored with kids.”

“Who’s a kid?!”

Thump.

“Oh, go to sleep. I’m not continuing.”

“Who would believe you?!”

Phayu tossed a pillow onto the sofa and turned off the lights.

The room fell into darkness.

“Don’t come here!”

“What the hell are you doing…”

“If you stay quiet, I’ll sleep.”

“Huh!”

Minutes passed.

Then ten.

Then thirty.

Rain slowly sat on the sofa, staring at the dark figure in bed. When he heard soft snoring, his chest hurt even more.

Bring back my good feelings…

He would leave in the morning.

The cold air, the rain outside, and exhaustion slowly pulled him down.

The last thing he remembered before sleep was Phayu’s smile.

Don’t smile. I’m really angry with you.

Late at night, with rain hitting the windows, Phayu slowly sat up.

He looked at the small body curled on the sofa.

Pitiful.

Cute.

“So cute…”

“I like it,” he muttered with a grin.

He gently lifted Rain and carried him to the bed. Laying beside him, his arms wrapped naturally around the smaller waist.

“Mmh…”

Rain mumbled and unconsciously leaned closer into his chest.

Phayu smirked.

I like this boy already.

If his twin brother heard that thought, he would probably mourn the poor boy.
