CHAPTER 5

Declare War

Morning sunlight streamed through the clear window into the compact bedroom, revealing two men sleeping on the soft bed.

One was a handsome young man with shoulder-length hair.

The other was a small, fair-skinned boy shifting uncomfortably — probably because he wasn’t used to the heavy arm resting across his stomach.

“Mama… it’s hot. Turn up the air conditioner for me…”

The excessive intimacy of hugging and spooning made the air under the blanket warmer than usual. The boy muttered lazily, refusing to open his eyes. He turned around and slapped his hand against what he thought was his favorite bolster.

It felt harder than usual.

But he was too sleepy to care.

Last night was all about—

In a blink—

“…!”

Have you ever opened your mouth to scream but no sound came out?

That was exactly Young Master Warain’s condition when his eyes widened at the shocking sight.

Anyone who isn’t shocked at this is simply too strong-willed.

Last night he clearly remembered hugging a pillow on the sofa, cursing the man on the bed.

So why—

Why was he now lying less than three centimeters away from that same man?!

He held his breath until his face turned red.

How did I get here?!

Rain screamed internally. He didn’t dare move, afraid the giant snake beside him would wake up.

His brain ran at full speed—

Then turned blank.

No answer.

No. First question isn’t how you got here. The real question is… did we do it?

Rain squeezed his eyes shut, lifted the blanket slightly, and prepared himself. After a few seconds of courage, he opened one eye carefully.

They say only drunk people wake up not knowing who they slept with… I didn’t drink a single drop! I swear if I survive today, I’ll never drink again!

He finally opened his eyes fully.

“Whoa… survived.”

He let out the breath he’d been holding and quickly checked under the blanket.

Still fully dressed.

Both of them.

“Huh…”

Gasp!

He stiffened again when a loud laugh echoed above his head.

No need to guess whose voice that was.

“There are only two people in this room. If there’s a voice, it’s definitely not the ghost girl from last night!”

“Being fully clothed doesn’t mean we didn’t do it.”

Splat.

Phayu’s words hit like stone.

Rain snapped back to reality and shoved the other’s chest violently, glaring upward — only to meet sly, teasing eyes and a satisfied smirk.

“Let me go!”

Luckily, Phayu didn’t restrain him.

But—

Smack!

Without support, Rain lost balance and fell straight off the bed.

“If you like sleeping on the floor, I won’t stop you.”

The man leaned lazily at the edge of the bed, resting his chin on his palm, watching him with amusement.

Rain rubbed his aching tailbone, tears threatening.

“You’re bad.”

His accusation made Phayu’s eyes gleam.

“What was that?”

Rain instinctively stepped back.

“You’re bad! Did you hear me?!”

“Would you like to see what a really bad man can do?”

“Don’t come near!”

Phayu stood to his full height, smiling like a devil.

“Are you afraid?”

“Who’s afraid of you!”

Fup.

Ugh!

“If you’re not afraid, why are you backing down?”

“Then why are you coming closer?!”

Phayu smirked and stepped forward again.

Rain glanced at his bag on the sofa, calculating escape timing.

Too slow.

Phayu casually picked up a towel and draped it over his shoulder.

“Sigh.”

“Ugh, you’re a good kid but your mouth…”

“I don’t have a good mouth!”

“So, want to try using it?”

Rain flinched.

Before thinking further, he rushed to grab his bag and sprinted toward the door.

“Find a coffin and bury yourself in it!”

He grabbed the doorknob—

Clack.

“Hoi?!”

It wouldn’t open.

A tall shadow loomed behind him.

His throat went dry.

Cold shivers ran down his spine.

“Did you know?” Phayu’s dangerous low voice whispered near his ear.

Rain’s entire body went stiff.

A large hand covered his on the doorknob, trapping him in a cage of muscle.

“Rain.”

Asshole! Don’t say my name like that!

“I’ll tell you this since we’re in the same Code Line…”

A warm breath brushed his ear.

“Since you’re stupid, don’t act smart.”

Kiss.

The door suddenly opened under their combined force, causing Rain to stumble forward. Warm lips pressed against the back of his neck.

Freedom was right there—

But too far.

Tears filled his eyes.

“Oh? You’re still here. So you want to continue?”

“You freaking asshole!”

Rain finally broke free, grabbed his bag, and ran out — ignoring the roaring laughter behind him.

Even worse, the morning mechanics looked at him like he had just lost his virginity to the garage owner.

My butt hurts because I fell! I didn’t get plugged in!

There was no time to explain.

Whoever said Phii Phayu was good?

That was him.

And now he officially declared war.

A few days later.

“Damn Rain. I really want to ask. What the hell are you doing?”

Sky wasn’t the type to pry, but his friend had been acting strange all week — rubbing his neck, muttering curses, glaring at invisible enemies.

“I’m fine!”

Same answer every day.

“Are you sure? Ever since the Code Line party, you’ve been quiet.”

The moment Sky mentioned Code Line—

Rain clenched his fists.

“Don’t tell me after meeting the real Phii Phayu, you still hate him.”

“Asshole! Don’t say that name again!”

Ah.

So that’s the problem.

“I really want to ask. What happened?”

“You don’t even know how much you admire Phii Phayu?”

“Well, he’s good. I admire talented people.”

“Where’s the good? His mouth is like a dog’s and he has terrible manners. Plus…”

“Plus?”

“Plus… he’s fake! A total pretender!”

He almost said sex maniac — but swallowed the word.

No way he’d let Sky know he was almost forced into becoming a bottom.

“Phii Phayu? How many are there?”

“There’s only one!”

“That’s him!”

Rain shouted, then immediately deflated.

“Sorry… I’m just upset.”

“That’s why I asked. From what I’ve seen, he’s a good senior. He gives advice, helps juniors, refuses to let them stay up late helping him… I’ve heard many good things.”

“That’s why I’m telling you—he’s fake!”
