Before Miyu could speak, a hand landed on Aoi’s shoulder.

“Tanaka. Walk with me.”

During lunch, Miyu finally found her chance.

Aoi was alone under the tree, eating quietly.

She approached, heart pounding.

“Tanaka-kun… can we talk?”

Aoi nodded.

“Sure.”

She sat beside him, gripping her notebook.

“I… I’ve been thinking a lot. About us.”

Aoi’s breath caught.

This was it.

She opened her notebook.

Inside, written neatly:

“I think I like you.”

Aoi stared, stunned.

Miyu swallowed.

“I… I want to try. With you. If you’ll—”

CRASH.

A soccer ball slammed into the tree above them, showering leaves everywhere.

Aoi jumped.

Miyu shrieked.

The notebook flew out of her hands.

The boys from the soccer team ran over, apologizing loudly.

By the time they left, the moment was gone.

Miyu’s face was bright red.

“I… I’m sorry. I can’t— not right now—”

She grabbed her notebook and ran.

Aoi sat there, stunned.

“She… was going to confess.”

His heart thumped.

Hard.

Scene 5 — Kira’s Direct ApproachLater, Aoi walked down the hallway, still processing.

Kira stepped in front of him, blocking his path.

“You look like you saw a ghost.”

Aoi shook his head.

“It’s nothing.”

“Liar.”

She crossed her arms.

“Was Asahina trying to confess?”

Aoi froze.

Kira smirked.

“Thought so.”

Aoi sighed.

“Minami-san… what do you want from me?”

Kira stepped closer.

“To know you. To see where this goes. To see if you’ll choose me.”

Aoi’s heart skipped.

“Why me?”

Kira shrugged.

“Because you’re real. You’re not fake. And you don’t fall apart when someone likes you.”

Aoi looked away, flustered.

Kira smiled.

“Don’t worry. I’m not rushing you.”

She tapped his chest lightly.

“But I’m not backing down either.”

Scene 6 — Miyu’s Jealousy Hits Hard

After school, Miyu spotted Aoi and Kira talking.

Kira was smiling.

Aoi looked embarrassed.

They were standing close.

Too close.

Miyu’s chest tightened painfully.

She walked toward them before she could stop herself.

“Tanaka-kun! I… I need to talk to you!”

Aoi turned.

“Asahina-san?”

Kira raised an eyebrow.

“Round two?”

Miyu glared.

“Stay out of this.”

Kira smirked.

“Make me.”

Aoi stepped between them.

“Stop. Please.”

Both girls fell silent.

Aoi took a breath.

“I… need time. I’m trying to understand my own feelings. I don’t want to hurt either of you.”

Miyu’s expression softened.

Kira’s eyes narrowed thoughtfully.

Scene 7 — The Ending Hook

As the sun set, Aoi walked home alone.

His heart was a storm.

Miyu almost confessed.

Kira was boldly pursuing him.

And he… didn’t know what he wanted yet.

But he knew one thing:

“I can’t run from this anymore.”

Behind him, hidden by the corner of a building, Miyu watched him walk away.

Her fingers tightened around her notebook.

“Next time… I’ll say it properly.”

And on the rooftop above, Kira watched too, smirking.

“Game on.”

The triangle had officially begun.
